Posting deadline day is also a pet peeve for me. I like to have a back and forth role play war with my competitor. It enhances your writing and pushes your limits and creativity.

Yes and we want to eventually go to a 2 rp limit so rave you are now someone we respect highly for the creative process. Again that doesn't mean you don't get deducted for not having two but I wanted to clarify that our direction will slowly transition back to how pwx looked in 2005. Now here's what I've got to say to actually back up the roster and I didn't get to last night.
People who lead by example do get more results. For instance you want people to start rping earlier in the week, why not have the card up immediately following ADR like we used to do. Again I'm not saying that's a lets do this now, but it's a target. I'm a person who could use rp time on Thursday to help if I need to rp. Again, merely a suggestion but people do see leaders and go well if he's not getting card up earlier and that's what the expectation is then what we do get in return is what we had previously. In due time guys, I will work for the card and the results to get up same day but again that's going to require some people stepping up and inspiring us to want to put said card up early. I consider Friday a failure this week. Thursday at noon should be the set deadline from here on out, at least that's what I hope Hollywood shoots for. But yeah we are a two staff group right now and honestly we need more volunteers to make things happen. We need people to help judge, take more matches, and help Hollywoods work load dwindle greatly. So with that said, do we have any volunteers who would like to throw their names into the hat to help out with more match writing who would have our matches in on time by 930 pm Wednesday nights to have show up ASAP and help Hollywood. The more the merrier. If you'd like to be considered for judging please pm myself AND Brian Hollywood and we would love you forever!

Not to sound pretentious or condescending at all, that is not my intention, but Ravenna and I come from a mold in which the efeds she would run (and I would participate in) had such a tight-knit community that EVERYBODY would often think of storylines, write matches, help decide matches for the next card, etc. We all even knew each other on a first name basis, for the most part, and even communicate via Facebook and text messages to the day. We had committees for all of this, and it helped tremendously. Results and cards never went up late, as they were usually decided or at least had an idea about a week in advance. Maybe a committee involved in match writing and setting up a card wouldn't be a bad idea for PWX?

Well I usually have something in mind in advance as I have a booking section where I plan out things in advance.
I operate on first name basis too and there are people who have my number and Facebook and what not as I stay in communication with people.
I'm working out a certain creative aspect right now but where I want to focus things right now is the match writing and judging sections. I would like a solid match writing team first as I'm reviewing things for people to judge bc it is time consuming but I will address the judging thing later. Right now I want to focus on match writers as that's where the big focus is at right now as I've got the judging under control. Matches getting in on time is where we are hurting at the moment

See, these things haven't been issues really. Most of this community is very cooperative and friendly with each other. We're all pretty much on the same basis you guys were with your old feds. But, y'all are new, and we don't really know y'all all that well yet. So, my sincerest apologies if we haven't been friendly enough or anything. Definitely not the way I would want to be thought of. It's just... at least my take on it is... we guard the keys to the house until we know people are sticking around and prove they're fixing to be here for a long time (at least in a general roster sense)
Usually, the card is up early-ish thursday. The staff (and us helper monkies) get matches done and all that. The only issue I see is not having the card up shortly there-after. And I don't even mean the match threads. Just the card. I do just about everything I can to help Brian out, but I can't book the card for him. Not my place.
And I also think when we're down to being worried about 2 RP limits and new cards being posted super quick.... I think we've pretty much won the war. Perfect attendance RP wise, a much expanding roster, good press coverage from independent sources... we're at the equivalent point of rich white people problems. lol.

I'll say this. In theory I get how posting early is encouraged and in a perfect world, that's fantastic. Thing is not everyone can do so since not everyone has all that precious time to their disposal. People have work, school., etc, that prevent us from RP early. Plus too I've always thought there shouldn't be a requirement. If you think about it, writing is all about freedom and thus I think when you restrict that in a way, the whole principle of the concept of writing gets a bit lost in translation. Plus too I've always preferred one RP for a match because, to tie this into the first primary topic of this(losing the main focus here ha); I always felt as if "going back and forth" and doing multiple RPs usually lead to people forgetting it's all about quality. Quality over quantity. i think people really get caught up with the latter. Granted some don't; in fact some are awesome at it. And sure the more RPs you post, the more volume you can produce, but that produce could also be not much at all and in the end I rather have one good apple than two bad ones. And usually when people post in quantity, they lose sight of that. See with one RP, it allows people to focus on the quality of what they're writing. It makes the quality aspect a lot more important, which is all that matters.Eh that's only my opinion though.

By back and forth I do not mean 5 roleplays lol... That is a horrible scene for a judge to read... I would feel so badly for the people who had to read all those... I federations I have been a part of and ran was a 2 roleplay limit; which still allows for back and forth... definitely not a novel. I would be happy to write matches; I was once believed, or so I did, to be a good match writer... however as lame and pathetic as this sounds... I forget pretty much every single wrestling move... I mean I could list some but to remember what they actual do I am dumfounded... maybe if I did some research I could help with that. I know what it is like to have a mass amount of pressure on your back and if there is one thing we can all agree on is an efederation is a family.. and should work together to strive for the best... and if there is something that I can do to help then so be it. Owners get worn out fast if they take 90% of the case load.. I will see what I can do it doing my part... but after 6 years I need some time to "get back in to the swing of things" before I offer my help.

I, as well, am available for match writing. I've always worked better with characters I am more familiar with, of course, but I also do my research before writing a match, studying bios and roleplays of each person involved, and do everything I can to really capture the essence of the characters involved. I'd love to try my hand at match writing again!

Awesome! Well, for the both of you, I'll be in contact with you guys as I'm still trying to iron a few things out but having help is certainly grateful. Match writers are always a necessity and I'm working to get the match writing situation thing figured out..I have a coordinator, Caliban, and he's been very helpful. Having two more would be beneficial and if you need to get back into the swing of things, I would love to help you as I love to help out as much as I can for people...whether it be for storyline ideas or ideas for their RPs...grant it with match writing, I've kind of gone cold myself as I used to consider myself a top notch writer lol..but anyway I can help make that easier for you, I will

Okay. I wanna reiterate a few ideas. Because they are PRECISELY what I've been thinkin' about. -- Challenge Board. This would ESPECIALLY help me, now that I'm going full-time, so I could use that to set up my matches each week, choosing which character to use, all of that. And I generally just love the idea. Was on the things I loved about the last fed I really took to, WCF, late last year. -- As Co__ir* said, threads where roleplayers go back and forth. That's where The Crue REALLY began, Tifa and a gal by the name of Liz Smalls, last year in FTW -- z6.invisionfree.com/FTWrestling/index.php?showtopic=4962 [*hey...he used Benoit as picbase. figured PWX would give him the same treatment :3 ] -- I also like the idea he had for 'random drawings'. Kinda like the 'Raw Roullete'. Maybe even mixed in w/some 'Tabboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday'. The opponents could be announced at the card, by like, The Establishment... and the stips could be voted on by the 'fans' [forum poll] -- As Elijah said, the arena name should be listed in the card. Like, either in each of the match threads, or in the 'writing sign-up' thread. I've always had difficulty with that since coming here, cuz I too like to use that as a locale, to build toward the event. It'd definitely be helpful to have the arena, and not just the city. -- I freaking LOVED Joey's idea to get everyone more involved w/the direction of the fed. Hence, the challenge board, the back and forth roleplaying in a CD format. I've always felt, that feds that give the members the MOST creative freedom...those are the ones I put above the rest. And from now on, I know I gotta do my part to, as DZ mentioned, be an example, a leader, instead of how I've been doing. Letting ppl down and not living up to my potential. But giving that freedom to create our own angles, to set our own course... that's the key, personally. But I do kinda feel like PWX already SEEMS to give a lot of freedom... though, I dunno if it's ok to set up our own matches and feuds and whatnot, so I'd need more info on that. But I do admire a lot of the things both Joey & Roxxie said. -- Annnd... as I kinda eluded to, I just wanna make a suggestion to myself, and others like me... Somethin' Ash said. Don't take on more than you can handle. I came into The Crue angle, wantin' tah bring them to EVERY fed, a 'world tour'...naw. Part-time contracts or not, that's too much to handle, especially when I'm totally out of it most of the time. Same thing applies to helping. It is CRUCIAL to have help, BUT... the help needs to be reliable. And I am ONLY focusing on my own unreliability, but I'm hoping to set an example through my own mistakes. One step at a time. Not a mile, but an inch ahead. And together, by doing your part, but ONLY what you know you can handle... the ship keeps sailin' on smooth seas. Personally, I feel like I'm ready tah start focusing, and puttin' in work. Let's make this happen. ~ $hane-o
