PWX Adrenaline 4
“The Road Continues”
September 28th 2009
The Arena, Philadelphia, PA
Let The Battle Begin
Moments after the opening video package ends, the lights in The Arena cut out. An ominous guitar riff is heard, before the lights cut completely out. Pyro goes off, and Alice In Chains’ “Last of My Kind” hits the PA System.]
So young, so brazen, so unholy
I come to you in rich disguise
Your broken teacher, ancient story
The living challenge to their lies
Trapped in the cold outside
There ain't no shelter
And they want to force my hand
[John Pariah steps out onto the stage, wearing a black suit and a blue tie. He holds up the NCW Pure Championship-as he heads down the ramp and enters the ring. The music fades out, and Pariah takes the microphone from Alexis Lace.]
Pariah: I want every one to relive what happened last week on this program.
[Pariah looks up at the tron, as a PWX logo crosses the screen, and we go back to last week.]
QUOTE
Silkk is celebrating his victory, until a rousing in the crowd catches his attention. He turns around but turns right into an Exclamation Point from Danny Szatkowski! The ferocity of the Superkick knocks Silkk out cold and the crowd goes nuts for Danny Szatkowski, who is answering John Pariah's call out, with Silkk being an enemy by association.
Outside the ring, Danny Szatkowski has a clipboard in one hand and a microphone in the other.
Danny: As I'm sure you all heard over the last couple of weeks, God's last gift himself John Pariah has challenged me to step into his world and face him in PWX. Well here I am live on PWX Adrenaline and in my hand here I hold a PWX contact. But before I go ahead and sign this contract, I want to make a statement to John Pariah... He alluded to the fact that there is no clause entitling me to a rematch for his NCW Pure Title, but I would like to make it clear that this was no accident. You see, winning that belt was always meant as a stepping stone for me in NCW and mark these words when I say that I will be moving onwards and upwards to better things in NCW. But what that means to you John Pariah is that by signing this PWX contract, I am here for one reason and one reason only.... RETRIBUTION! You don't even have to put your title on the line! I just want the opportunity to step into a ring with you again and dish out some payback for what you stole from my family.
At that moment, “Rush RMX” by Kid Russell hits the PA System and none other than Jason Parker Olesen steps out onto the entrance ramp.
JPO: If you're going to be joining PWX, the first thing you need to do is learn some respect! I won't stand for you interferring in matches and then running your mouth when -
That sentence is cut short as Danny's manager, Mikey Jones, sneaks up on JPO from behind and smashes his cell phone over the back of his head! The crowd is shocked by the attack and watch as Mikey drags JPO to the ring where Danny is now standing.
Danny: Consider this your challenged answered, Pariah. You took something from my family; now I am going to take something from yours.
Mikey hold JPO down on the mat while Danny presses the tip of a fountain pen into the open wound on the back on JPO's head. He then proceeds to sign his contract in the blood of JPO and then throws the contract down onto him. "Epic" by Faith No More begins to play and both Danny and Mikey leave the ring through the crowd.
Chris: What the hell?
Ricky: Danny Szatkowski is here in PWX!
Chris: When will we see him in a PWX ring?
Ricky: I have no idea!
[The scene returns to present day, and the crowd is cheering loudly. Pariah smirks and raises the mic to his mouth once more]
Pariah: Daniel Szatkowski stepped into MY company, and tried to invade MY ring, in MY arena. You finally decided to man up, and accept my challenge. Well Daniel, it’s been signed, sealed and delivered. It will be you and me at Never Say Die, and it WILL be a Fight Without Honor. You and I will settle this rivalry once and for all. It won’t be about NCW or PWX, it won’t be about the New Dawn or the Legion. It won’t be about this Pure Championship. It will be about honor, and valor. It will be about proving to the entire world-that I am many things, but one of those things, is that I am better than you!
[The crowd boo’s loudly]
Pariah: Also, I wanted to pass along a message from management. Chris, Ricky, you asked when we’d see Daniel in a PWX ring? Your answer is NEXT WEEK!
[The crowd cheers]
Pariah: See, there’s somebody in the back who wants some retribution. Next week, Daniel will make his PWX Debut, against The Suicide Messiah James Silkk-and it will be a good, old fashioned EXTREME RULES Match!
[The crowd pops loudly, a pattering of ECW Chants break out]
Pariah: Next week, my protégé will dismantle Daniel Szatkowski, and only leave enough of him left for me to finish off at Never Say Die. Danny, you WILL be cleansed of your disease, and we will finish this at Never Say Die. This isn’t a debate. This is war!
[He hands the mic back to Alexis, as “Last of My Kind” reprises, and he holds up the NCW Pure Championship. Fade out]
Ultimate Survival Qualifer Match:
X Treme Dream vs Sean Tyler
Dream and Tyler square off in the center of the ring. Dream takes him over with a side head lock take down, and gets a 1 count with an umbrella pin.
He lifts him up-and shoots him into the ropes. On the rebound, he hits Tyler with a spinebuster, and rolls him up into the pin:
ONE
TWO
THREE!
Chris: That might be the quickest match in PWX History.
Ricky: X-Treme Dream now has a shot at the Hybrid Championship in 2 weeks at never Say Die!
Chris: I don’t think Sean Tyler is going to last here much longer.
Winner: Xtreme Dream
Ultimate Survival Qualifer Match:
Brian Hollywood vs Samuel Hynes
["Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed blasts over the PA system as the crowd erupts in boos. Up the ramp, we see Mr. Hollywood come out from the backstage area.]
Ricky: Oh great, here we go.
Chris: Man, what is your problem? I actually like Brian...err, Mr Hollywood thank you very much.
Ricky: Hollywood himself has quite an interesting tenor here in PWX. I just don't like who he's become in the business.
Hollywood walks down the ramp looking straight at the ring. He stops midway and takes in the crowds response to his entrance. As the crowd continues to boo Hollywood, he smiles as turns his head and looks around the arena reacting to the crowd.
Ricky: You see? He doesn't seem to care what anybody thinks about him. Since his return, he hasn't seemed to care about anyone. Especially those who's in his way, or get in his way.
Chris: That may be, but you gotta respect the guy. He's done some pretty impressive stuff here in PWX. All we can do is watch and see what he's going to do next in the business.
Ricky: Respect is the biggest thing one should achieve in the business and that guy right there certainly doesn't have mine.
Chris: Oh would you just shut up and let the amazingness of Hollywood take over! I happen to like the guy!
Hollywood finally climbs into the ring and walks to the middle. He stands there for a second before walking over to the side of the ring and grabbing a mic. Hollywood's music slowly fades out and is filled in with loud boos all around the arena. Hollywood takes in the boos and continues to smile as he prepares to speak.
Hollywood: You know, you people make me laugh?
Ricky: I don't know why this guy thinks this is funny. Everyone hates him, and he doesn't care..have you gotten my point Chris?
Chris: I see your point..however, hating him is what encourages him! This is what makes this guy so great!
Hollywood: You guys take the time to hate me, before you even know what the hell I'm doing out here. Not that I have a problem with that or anything, but you guys are all the same! You are all what I like to call assumptioners! You know what I think assumptioners are? They are the people who hate you, and assume your going to waste their time with being out here in this ring. Well...you know what happens when people assume!
Hollywood pauses and smiles as the boos get deeper in the arena. Hollywood then speaks again.
Hollywood: I'm out here for a number of reasons. Not only do I have an opponent tonight that I plan to beat to a living hell tonight, but I have bigger plans as well. You all know that I'm facing Samuel Hynes in an Ultimate Survival Qualifier where the winner will advance to Never Say Die and fight for the Hybrid Championship. We all know who the winner of that match is going to be don't we? I mean, just look at the facts, the hybrid division is where I dominate! No one, and I mean NO ONE knows the hybrid better than I do! I am the best there is period when it comes to the division. I've proven that in the past when I became Hybrid Champion not once, but twice! I plan on regaining what's rightfully mine at Never Say Die and take back my top place on the Hybrid mountain! I think this happened for a reason. I know I lost the PWX Championship tournament against Ness and I know why.
Hollywood pauses a minute before speaking.
Hollywood: I lost because Ness got lucky!
Crowd boos heavily as Hollywood stands there with a serious look on his face.
Ricky: Oh go freaking figure!! It figures that he would say something like that as an excuse! He lost fair and square! Figures!
Chris: You figure that you said figures enough times?
Ricky: Your such a smartass. Figures...
Hollywood starts pacing the ring as he begins speaking again.
Hollywood: That's right. Ness got lucky! Why? We both gave each other hell in that ring last week and it came down to one move. That move was a quick secure pin. If Ness hadn't pulled that move off, I would be standing here preaching to you all that I was just one step closer to the PWX Championship! Instead, Ness was able to pull off a little move to get him the win. You may consider that a big win Ness, but I consider it a big lucky win! Next time, you may not be so lucky! However, I am back in the hybrid title hunt now. Which seems very fitting seeing as how I OWN the hybrid division and the belt. You people don't realize that people like me don't come easily around here. The problem with alot of the talent on this show is that they show to much kindness and mercy. I don't. I siege upon every opportunity that I can that just benefits me better to getting closer to the top in this business. I have said time and time again that I will do anything and everything I need to do to get myself at a higher place in the business. But it seems that when it comes to business, there is no one better than me!
crowd continues to boo Hollywood. They then start a "you suck" chant.
Hollywood: You people think what you want. But this Ultimate Survival match is my type of match. Which is why I know that I will soon be once again YOUR PWX HYBRID CHAMPION! It's not a question of if I win the match, it's a question of what happens after I win the belt at Never Say Die. Tonight, Samuel Hynes is nothing but a stepping stone for me, a warm up of sorts, preparing for my Ultimate Survival arrival. Then, once I get to the match, I WILL walk out with the Hybrid Championship for the third time in PWX! There is no one better in PWX to pull off an accomplishment like that! An example would be to look at all the different Survival matches in my career and tell me how many I have actually lost. To my knowledge, I have never lost any kind of Survival match in my career! This is MY match, MY specialty. I thrive on being the last man in the match! It's what I do. I take out everyone else in my way to get the paycheck! Which in this case is the prize. The Hybrid Championship! I promise you that I will be the last man in the match at Never Say Die. And I will tell you that everyone else in the match will be given one as well. That promise, is you all will fall. Fall simply with one promise to you all! That's an EXECUTIVE PROMISE! An once it becomes a promise, I always deliver!
Hollywood then simply stands in the middle of the ring as the crowd chants you suck more profoundly and with heavier boos. Hollywood lifts up the mic as he is about to speak when Samuel Hynes music blasts over the PA system. The crowd then pours out in cheers as Hynes simply runs into the ring.
Ricky: Finally! Someone who has come out to shut him up!
Chris: You get to excited too easily you know that?
Ricky: What? I just like to see assholes get their asses kicked that's all!
Chris: You would.
Hynes gets into the ring and walks up right towards Hollywood. He just stops and stares him dead in the eyes. Hollywood then looks away before turning back towards Hynes and taking him down with a right to the side of the face. The crowd erupts in boos as Hollywood starts assaulting Hynes.
Ricky: OH MY GOD!! What the hell is going on here?! Their match isn't even happening yet and Hollywood's beating down on Hynes! This is outragious!
Chris: I told you that you would think this is exciting!! This is MAYHEM!! Hollywood is literally giving Hynes no chance to do anything!
Hollywood continues beating down Hynes with stomps to the head. He then picks up Hynes and throws him out of the ring. Hollywood goes over towards the announce table and picks up a chair. Hollywood then walks back over towards Hynes.
Ricky: My God you have got to be kidding! Hollywood is going to take his opponent out alright!
Chris: Hollywood looks as if he's planning on really denting that steel chair!
Hollywood kicks Hynes again and sends him down to the floor. He then lifts up the chair and bashes Hynes skull into the ground.
Ricky: OH MY GOD!!
Hollywood lifts up the chair and bashes him in again. He then picks Hynes up and throws him into the steel steps. Hollywood backs up and then starts running at Hynes and nails him in the face with his knee sending Hynes head up against the steel steps. Hollywood picks Hynes up and rolls him into the ring. Hollywood then walks towards the corner and just stands near the turnbuckle. The crowd erupts in boos as Hollywood simply smiles and watches Hynes laying in the middle of the ring. After awhile, Hynes starts getting up. Hollywood then starts pounding his foot to the canvas.
Ricky: Oh no!...Hynes is about to get a promise he will never forget!
Chris: Yea, a promise that will keep Hynes out of a PWX ring!!
Hynes finally gets to his feet. As he turns around Hollywood kicks him nailing him with the Executive Promise! Hynes falls back to the canvas and lays in the middle of the ring motionless. The crowd continues to boo Hollywood as he just stands over a lifeless Hynes. Hollywood smiles as he looks at the crowd and raises his hand in the air
Winner: Brian Hollywood
The War Is On
The Camera opens up to NCW Arena (aka The Arena) in South Philly's Parking Lot. The Camera opens up to see a group of wrestlers, lead by a young, beautiful Woman. Her and her group of wrestlers all stop, and look up at the banner...
: PWX, eh? Why don't we teach them not to mess with what's too extreme for them...
The group begins to walk towards the entrance, but a group, equal in numbers, of security guards all get in their way. The main guard begins to speak...
Guard: Excuse me, what are you all doing here at this time of the day? This isn't your night to be here...
The Woman replies with a slightly bitter voice...
: I don't think you want to talk to me like that. If NCW wasn't performing here, your ass would be dead broke and on the streets. Is that anyway to talk to the woman who saved your life? NCW has just as much right to be here as PWX, especially when they have something that belongs to us...two actually. Our Pure Title, and one of our Headliners. We're here to make sure BOTH assets are without harm...
The Guard, albeit looking remorseful, replies negatively to her request..
Guard: Look Ms.Santos, rules are rules. I wouldn't let PWX just randomly show up for a Vengeance Show, and i wont allow you guys to do it. Besides, i thought you said itd be ok for Danny to wrestle for PWX...
Ms.Santos, otherwise known as Maria, shoots back...
Maria: You're right..i did accept the cross promotion deal that came with Danny working PWX..but that was before a number of things, like Pariah playing mind games with Danny for his own enjoyment, as well as Pariah not committing to his responsibility as Pure Champion and avoiding our calls. He wants his "revolution", fine.Thing is, we're taking back what's ours before he does so at our expense!
Maria advances, but the guard gets physical now, pushing her slightly away from advancing. Things get serious now, as Antonio Lopez reveals himself, putting himself in between the two. NCW World title in hand, he looks with hateful eyes at the security guard. The guard laughs, as he says...
Guard: What? Im supposed to be scared of you?
The large group steps up with Antonio, revealing themselves to be Wild-Dog, Danny Szatowski's Legion Stablemates Wild, who is the NCW Hardcore Champion, and Ben Stevens, the current reigning NCW National Champion. With them comes DG, who has this to say...
DG: No...you can be scared, or not...either way, you're STILL getting your ass kicked!
The guard SHOVES DG away from him, and into Maria, causing her to fall. This provokes the fight, as Antonio Lopez KNOCKS the ref down with a shot to the head with his NCW World Championship. The rest of the guards start to rush them, but the NCW renegades fight back. The entire thing turns into one BIG brawl, all over the parking lot. However, it dosen't take too long for the NCW group to overtake the Security. In one corner, Wild is seen POWERBOMING one through the front window of somebody's car! He then goes on to attack another one with his teammate, Ben Stevens. Wild clotheslines the HELL out of him, and sets him up. Ben Stevens throws his foot up, and ONKs(Buzzsaw Kick) THE **** out of the guard. Ben isn't done yet, as he sets him up, and LOCKS the Itami (Anaconda Vice) in. The guard is seen and heard screaming. Meanwhile, DG is on top of a car with a Guard, but kicks him in the midsection. He sets him up, and 7th HEAVEN (Tiger Driver '91) on the roof, severely denting it. Back to the main view, Antonio is BRUTALLY bashing the guard down with his Championship Gold. The guard is clearly seen busted open, but that doesn't stop the champ. He gets The guard up, and Maria shakes her head in dissapointment, before SLAPPING the Security with full force. Antonio throws him on the ground. Suddenley, a HUGE shrieking voice is heard. The camera pans into it, and Wild-Dog is WHIPPING the life out of one of the Guards with his black whip. But...in another hand, is a Steel chain, wrapped around another Guard's NECK! Looking at all of the carnage theyve caused, Maria tells them all to stop. They all group together, and Maria says this..
Maria: Don't worry guys, this is a good enough message. For now...
The group of Misfits leave the premises, as the camera fades to black...
Ness Speaks
Backstage, we see Ness warming up for his match against Michael Wrecker later tonight. A knock on the door is heard; he rises from his bench and opens it to find Alexis Lace, who is ready to conduct an interview.
AL: Ness, tonight you face off against Michael Wrecker in what has been labeled a special exhibition match. Have you seen any of Wreckers work at all, and do you think you'll be able to get the win here tonight against him?
Ness tears off the last bit of tape on his wrist, smiling.
N: You know Alexis, people have been wondering why I haven't spoken to you or, well, pretty much at all in these last few weeks. You've heard from pretty much everyone else in the roster, but there's a reason for that...they have something to say- I didn't. In case you forgot just what kind of person I am, Alexis, I am a man who does everything in the ring. I LIVE to compete and face some of the best that the world has to offer. Some people call me generic for that...I see it as having an edge over your opponent. Michael Wrecker...yes, I've seen him. He's good. But can he beat me? Well, we'll have to see what happens in that ring in just a short while. But I know it's going to be a battle. And Wrecker...you still have a lot to prove to the PWX masses.
AL: And what about the upcoming pay per view, Never Say Die? You've beaten Christy Matthews and Brian Hollywood, therefore earning a shot at the championship against whoever wins our main event for this evening- Jackson, or Cal Roberts.
Ness continues to smirk as he responds.
N: Yeah, it's the opportunity that I have been waiting for since 2007, Alexis. I've won every championship that the PWX has to offer but one...the PWX Championship. Jackson has held it before, and I'm pretty sure Cal Roberts has as well...don't quote me on that, though. Truth of the matter is, I'm going to be the underdog in that match just like every other time I've faced a big name opponent. And I'll do what I'll always do when I'm stuck in a predicament like that- defy the odds and try my best. It's all I have ever promised, Alexis...and it’s all I plan on ever doing.
AL: One more thing...in our main event later tonight, you will actually be the special guest referee for that match. Are you going to choose sides, or play it down the line?
Ness rolls his eyes.
N: Well gee, Alexis, do you think if I was going to choose sides, would I actually go and TELL people that nugget of information?
Alexis doesn't know how to respond; Ness laughs it off before continuing.
N: Seriously, though, I don't care who wins in this match...Jackson would make a very interesting opponent for myself, but Cal Roberts is someone who I've never faced before...a match against him would also be pretty awesome. Either way, I see Never Say Die as a blockbuster event, because you're going to have a main event that will blow the competition away. So don't worry you two, you'll have the competitive match that you SHOULD want...and even if you don't? You're going to get one at Never Say Die. Just be weary of that fact as you step into the ring tonight...
Ness grabs his black ring jacket from his bench and puts it on, leaving his locker room as we cut back to the announcers.
Earlier Today
The PWX is empty the ring is the only thing standing. Jake stands in it dead center he has a look on his face as if he is taking it all in. The camera zooms in on Jake's face.
Jake: Oh can you feel it? Do you taste it? Because I do that feeling of a new chance a new start. Oh by the way my name is Jake Reed and I happen to be the newest wrestler signed to PWX. And that word wrestler is something I take to heart. Because that is all I ever wanted to be. And now after years of searching I finally have found a place I think I can call home for a long long time. Now sadly I didn't sign my contract in time to get on this week's show. But I already got word I will get a match next week and managment I am begging you get me a test. I know how this bussiness works first week new start gets some easy match he wins quickly and than you ever see the guy he beat again. But I think it's past time to change the forumula of wrestling.I think the fans would rather see if Jake Reed can actully hang with the best her PWX and god know I need to know if I can work with best. So what do you say? Either way see you next week.
Special Exhibition Match
Michael Wrecker vs Ness
Wrecker and Ness shake hands to begin the match-adhering to the code of honor. They lock up-and Wrecker over powers Ness, forcing him into the corner. He delivers a hard series of knee strikes to the ribs, before the ref orders him off. He adheres, and then delivers a hard shot to the head. He shoots Ness across the ring-into the other corner, and runs at him for a splash. Ness gets a boot up-knocking Wrecker in the face. He climbs up onto the second rope, and jumps off-hitting the big titan with a codebreaker type move. He quickly springs off the ropes with a lionsault-and hooks the leg for a cover:
ONE!
TWO---KICKOUT!
Ness picks him up, and shoots him into the ropes. He telegraphs a backdrop, and Wrecker grabs him-and drops him back first with a gutwrench powerbomb. He hooks the leg, and the ref starts his count.
ONE!
TWO!---KICKOUT!
Wrecker picks him up-and shoots him into the ropes. Ness tries a crossbody block-but Wrecker launches him with a fall away slam. He smirks as he picks him up-and goes for a hard vertical suplex. Ness lands on his feet-and shoves Wrecker into the ropes-and on the rebound rolls him up.
ONE
TWO
THR—KICKOUT.
Wrecker sends Ness through the ropes, crashing to the floor below. The crowd begins a let’s go Ness chant as Wrecker follows him to the floor. Ness battles back with a flurry of offensive strikes, before finally landing an enziguri kick to the head. He delivers a hard knee strike, and then drops him with a DDT. The ref’s count is at 6 as Ness gets to his feet, and drops a knee across the back of Wreckers head. He wrenches back on the neck for a minute, as the ref reaches 10. Ness smirks as he lifts up Wrecker-and tries to shoot him into the corner. Wrecker reverses it and sends Ness into the railing. Ness steps up on a chair-and springs off of the guardrail-crashing into Wrecker. The crowd cheers loudly as Ness gets to his feet, and goes to slide Wrecker into the ring. He blocks it-and smashes Ness’s head on the apron, as the ref reaches 15. He delivers a hard boot to the face, and then slides back into the ring as the ref reaches 20. The bell rings as Wreckers hand is raised in victory.
Winner: Michael Wrecker via COUNTOUT
That Young Knock Out Kid?
We cut backstage where PWX’s resident interviewer Tylene Graves is standing. She has a microphone in hand as she looks directly to the camera with an excited grin on her face.
Tylene: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, my brother and the returning PWX wrestler, Tyler Graves!
Tyler Graves walks into the frame wearing a black PWX Never Say Die t-shirt and an aviator glasses resting comfortably on his hair.
Tylene: Welcome back, Big Brother. How does it feel to be back?
Tyler: It feels awesome. I’ve missed PWX and I miss being in the PWX ring and competing against the talented wrestlers on the PWX roster. And most of all, I missed each and every one of these awesome PWX fans.
Tylene: Oh I’m sure they’ve missed you too. Anyways, PWX fans are totally wondering why you’ve been in MIA for a couple of weeks. Some of the members of the internet wrestling community even speculated that you already quit because of some rumors that you were unhappy of the directions that PWX is going to. So to clear things up, please tell them what really happened and what did not.
Tyler: Well honestly, none of the IWC’s speculations or the rumors that is going around are true. I didn’t quit PWX and I’m not unhappy about things here in PWX. I love PWX. It’s one of those organizations that I really wanted to work for when I was still starting out in the business. The real reason why I MIA here in PWX for a couple weeks is that I went on a tour of Japan with the Pro Wrestling NOAH promotions and as well as training on at their training facilities under the tutelage of NOAH stars Naomichi Marufuji and KENTA.
Tylene: That is exciting. So how was it wrestling Japan? How was it compared to wrestling here in the US?
Tyler: It was an amazing experience. I learned a lot from that tour even though it only lasted a couple of weeks. But yeah it was an awesome experience. As much as I love the PWX and American fans, I think the Japanese fans are the best wrestling fans in the world because they are so passionate about wrestling over there and they treat and look to it as a real sport rather than an entertainment shit like American fans do. And the wrestlers… man the wrestlers there totally dedicated and discipline. They train harder than a boxer and an MMA fighter. They train like it’s their first match. When they are book in a big match, they’ll be in the gym training for like 8 hours a day working on their cardio and whatever. It was pretty intense.
Tylene: Right. Now the question in everyone’s mind is now that you are back in the US and in PWX, what are your plans? What path will Tyler Graves be taking on? And what are you hoping to bring to the table that you think can make you stand out from all the other wrestlers in PWX or in America?
Tyler: My plan is to take everything I’ve learned from Japan and apply it to PWX.
Tyler’s facial expressions changed from a relaxed to an intense expression as the he looks directly to the camera with a sharpness of confidence.
Tyler: See Japan opened my eyes up to see that I don’t need to tie my opponent up and try to make them submit… You see it opened my eyes that I don’t need to execute complicated pinning combinations to hold my opponent down for the 1-2-3… I don’t need to do all those acrobatics, all the flips and dives to make my matches interesting… All I need to do is strike and strike until I knock the winds out of my opponent. And that’s what I’m going to do. If you think my kicks were devastating back then, wait till you get hit by it now. If you think that my knee strikes can knock you out, wait till you get hit by it now. And if you think my chops are stiff and can break a blood vessel in your chest, wait till you get hit by now!
Tyler sneered at the camera as he breathes heavily. Slowly, the calmness on his face that we saw earlier is starting to return.
Tyler: See I use to take things lightly and look where it brought me… It brought me nowhere. I’m still stuck on the same plank I’m on since I made my debut. I’ve disappointed those people who use to call me the next big thing in Professional Wrestling. But everything is about to change. Just like Japan opened my eyes, I will open people’s eyes why Tyler Graves has been hyped as the “Next Big Thing” in Professional Wrestling. I will show them that Tyler Graves is legit and is to be considered a force to be reckoned with here in PWX. And that starts tonight.
Tyler moves in closely to the camera.
Tyler: It’s time to stop playing around. Because starting tonight, somebody’s going to be… KNOCK… THE… FUCK… OUT.
Tyler grins as he walks out of the scene leaving Tylene standing in front of the camera with an excited expression to end the scene.
More Than Divas, Better Than Knockouts:
Lillith Morgan vs Christy Matthews
The show cuts to the backstage, where we see Christy Matthews and Lillith Morgan brawling. Christy is in control, yelling that she isn’t a diva. She throws Lillith into a large crate, and smashes her head against it. She delivers a hard kick to Lillith back, before hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb on the concrete floor. She locks Lilliths leg in a submission hold, as she screams in pain. Officials try to break it up-but Christy delivers a hard kick to her ribs. Refs help her up-as other refs pull Christy back. Lillith breaks free, and spears Christy into the concrete. She rains down punches from the top mount, and then gets up-booting her into the ribs. She drops an elbow across her chest, and then locks in an Anaconda Vice. The officials pull them off, as we fade to black.
Winner: No Contest
It Begins
The camera cuts to the backstage area where we find Danny Szatkowski walking with his manager Mikey Jones, towards the rear of the Philadelphia arena where the parking lot is located. They are both dressed in casual attire with Danny having not been booked on Adrenaline this week, and apparently they have done enough talent scouting for tonight.
The two are conversing when suddenly they are both clubbed in the small of the back with two by fours courtesy of James Silkk and John Pariah. Silkk moves in on Mikey but Mikey pulls a canister of pepper spray from his pocket and leaves Silkk temporarily blinded! Pariah, meanwhile, has been laying stiff boots into Danny, who is doing his best to try and cover up. Pariah stops for a split second to try and gain his balance and this is enough time for Danny to grab a hold of his leg with both arms and tackle him to the ground. He goes to pounce on Pariah but he was ready and lays fists right between Danny's eyes.
Mikey manages to get to his feet and picks up a two by four. Silkk is still blinded and doesn't see him coming, but Mikey doesn't manage to generate much force with his swing and only catches Silkk on the arm. Silkk swings for him but Mikey manages to scamper out of the way to safety.
Pariah has gained the upper hand on Danny and drags him to his feet. He throws him face first into a metal shutter and Danny bounces off and collapses to the floor. Pariah moves in for more punishment, but Danny catches him with a jab to the jaw and follows up with a spinning heel kick which floors Pariah. Danny quickly climbs on top of a dumpster and jumps off, catching Pariah with a guillotine leg drop onto the concrete floor. Pariah holds his head and is bleeding from his mouth, while Danny is also slow to get to his feet after hitting his ass hard on the floor. Danny takes a swing at Pariah who blocks it and counters with a kick to the gut and a series of knife-edge chops, then finally a headbutt which knocks Danny to the floor. He finds a table and sets it up, throwing Danny on top of it. James Silkk arrives back on the scene and appears to have regained much of his vision as Pariah instructs him to hold Danny in place. Pariah takes his turn to take flight from the top of the dumpster, but as he is mid way through a swantan bomb, Mikey Jones rushes James Silkk. Both men are sprawled over Danny and the table as Pariah's body comes crashing down onto them! The result is broken wood and four beaten bodies on the concrete.
Pariah is the first to stir and he begins rolling towards Danny, but before he can deliver another blow to his incapacitated nemesis, security arrive on the scene in strong numbers and drag all four men away from each other. All four men seem to recover their wits about them and struggle to break free and go at it some more, but the security staff keep them restrained and the brawl fizzles out.
Second Round in the PWX Championship Tournament - Special Guest Ref: Ness:
"The Buzz" Cal Roberts vs Jackson
Jackson is issued a rousing ovation as he makes his entrance that always sends a surge of excitement through the crowd from the sheer spectacle. The lights return and out from the curtains, emerges “The Buzz” Cal Roberts. The fans greet the master of CRITICAL.BATTLE.ART with a chorus of boos as he walks to the ring. He is no longer smirking; instead he walks with the thousand yard stare he’d perfected years earlier.
The special guest referee for the match, Ness, made his entrance during the break and currently stands leaning in one corner of the ring while Roberts climbs inside. This is for the final spot in the finals of the PWX World Title Tournament. “The Buzz” is no stranger to world titles, having won over nine world heavyweight championships in his storied career. Jackson is no slouch either, having held three world titles himself.
One has to think that Ness has a vested interest in the outcome of this match since the winner will go on to wrestle him in the finals at NSD. The match is under way and both men are feeling each other out in the early goings. Basic wrestling holds are exchanged, and Jackson manages to get the better of the first few exchanges. Roberts looks as though he is getting frustrated, and delivers the side of his knee into the gut of Jackson as he was looking to tie-up. Roberts begins to work over Jackson on the mat, with a tight front face-lock. Jack manages to get loose from the hold, but continues to find himself at the mercy of the veteran, Cal Roberts.
The next several minutes see Cal Roberts unleashing various aspects of his arsenal, ranging from his world famous suplexes to more submission holds. The momentum of the match turns as Cal Roberts has Jackson on his feet. Roberts is hitting his boxing strikes with much success, but makes an uncharacteristic mistake by turning to jaw with the fans for a moment. When he turns back, Jackson unleashes a fiery comeback that consists of strikes and finishes with a northern lights suplex for a pin fall attempt. There have been many pinfall attempts thus far, but this marked Jackson’s first attempt. Jackson isn’t as tenured as Cal Roberts, but he’d been around the block enough times to capitalize on the mistake Roberts had made. Jackson returns the favor to Roberts by unleashing several suplexes all in a row. Roberts rolls to the outside to regain his bearings, but is followed by Jackson who runs him into the guardrail. Jackson is quick to roll Roberts back into the ring, and bends down to pick up him up. In doing so he leaves his leg wide open for a heel hook, which Roberts locks in deep. Jackson is quick to grab the nearby ropes, but Cal Roberts will not break the hold.
Ness counts to five three times in a row, but Roberts still will not break the hold. Ness has no choice but to call for the bell and disqualify “The Buzz”. Roberts has screwed the fans by robbing them the chance to see the rest of what was looking to be a great match between two legendary competitors. Roberts finally released the hold as Ness begins to pry on his arms. Roberts darts to his feet and gets in the face of Ness, who is not backing down.
Security is headed to the ring while Jackson struggles to get back on his feet. Jackson, who was already pissed over Cal Robert’s actions of late, is enraged over the conduct of Cal Roberts tonight. Roberts finds himself surrounded by two men who would like nothing more, but to take his head off. However, security separates the three from fighting much to the dismay of the crowd. Cal Roberts ducks out of the ring and grabs hold of the microphone.
The Buzz: So . . . I may have lost my temper a little bit tonight. I suppose I should apologize.
In the ring, Jackson and Ness are furious as they are being held back by a wall of security. The crowd is rabid as well at the lone outsider in PWX.
The Buzz: Don’t hold your breath guys. Cal Roberts is about one thing, that’s winning matches and the gold that comes with it. Losing tonight is all part of the plan. I’ll let you two destroy each other at NSD, and then I’ll be coming for what’s left of the winner. Do I really need to do such a thing? No, not at all. I’ve proven time and again that I am more than capable of handling any man in the ring. But hell, I’ve been doing this for sixteen years now. Why waste my total effort on a bush league promotion like PWX?
A fan jumps the barricade and runs to attack Cal Roberts, the fan is met with a stiff lariat from Roberts in return. Roberts hoists the man from the ground and runs him head first into the barricade. He begins to laugh at the near riot he is causing.
The Buzz: You know something . . . I’ve always come into a promotion and went straight for the gold. Taking out whoever stood in my way, but I never tried to go out of my way to hurt a promotion or a competitor that didn’t have it coming. But with PWX . . .I’ve made an exception. I will slowly but surely remove this stain on the name of professional wrestling. One by one, you will all come to find, that no one can handle “The Buzz”.
Cal Roberts heads up the ramp, with Jackson and Ness still chomping at the bit to get past security. The show ends with Roberts backing up the ramp with a devilish smirk on his face.
Winner: Jackson
