= Old Man = May 12, 2014
The wind whistles through the trees, kicking up leaves and dirt, carrying them off far into the distant night sky. A thick layer of fog covers the pale moon, condescending on all who walk beneath its lunar gaze. The mists part, and I hear your voice. Something is calling me here. I feel a twig crunch beneath my boot as I maneuver my way through the graveyard, the final resting place of one "beloved." I shudder, as a cool breeze chills my arms and my face.
It's an unnerving sight, for most- the hundreds of headstones, planted in tribute to loved ones lost. Many are terrified by the concept of death. To me, it is just another chapter in life. Every story must eventually come to an end. For this man, that ending came when I was only seven years of age. Imagine my fright, a young, innocent boy, coming home and hearing that my father had been killed, shot in the dark by an unknown assailant, an attacker from the shadows...
An assassin.
I was never the same after that moment. My mom remarried, just two years later, and I never forgave her for it. To the day my stepfather, in a drunken rage, hit her over the head with a wrench, I could not forgive her. My stepfather then turned his attention to me, trying to keep me from opening my mouth about what I had seen, and I plunged a knife into his knee, and again into his throat, once he was on my level; of course, this was ruled as "self-defense" and I was never tried as an adult for murdering that piece of shit. Still, I never forgave her for that. I watched my mom rest in a coma for two weeks, until she passed away from an undetected brain aneurysm, and I could not have felt any less for her than I did, because I could never forgive her. But, I always forgave my father.
R.I.P. Charles "Chuck" Harris Loving husband and father 1955- 1990
I stare at the headstone, almost as if deciphering some unknown language. It's still hard to believe that he was taken from me so suddenly. I remember the way he would come home, drenched in the heavy stench of motor oil and cigarette smoke, and he would pick me up with his greasy, calloused hands. His mustache used to tickle my nose when he'd kiss me. That was 24 years ago. He's been gone for that long. ripped away from me by a coward with a gun. What kind of man uses a gun? Guns are so apathetic! If I were to meet that man today, I would confront him as I am, perfectly unarmed. I would cherish the sound of his nose crunching against my head, and the metallic taste of his cold blood as I rip his fucking throat out. Then, after crushing his skull with my boot, and only then, would I forgive him. Yes, that's right- I would forgive him, for being weak, for being afraid, for being born of shadows, forced to walk the world without a name or a face, left to lie, cheat, and steal to get anything he wants or needs. I know what that is like. I've been a drifter, a nobody, and I know how hard it is. The only difference is, as weak as I was a few months ago, I was never a coward! Even if I didn't know who I was, I always knew that I enjoyed inflicting pain. I could feel it in my bones, and in my soul. I relished in the suffering of others- not necessarily that they are in pain, but that it is I who causes that pain! I love every minute of it, and I will enjoy it even more when I shatter every bone in Assassin's body this week.
I light a cigarette, and fall back against my father's headstone, sitting on the mound of dirt beneath which his body rests. A puff of smoke escapes my lungs, fading into the night sky, and I laugh to myself.
Old man, take a look at my life. I'm a lot like you...
= Overburdened = May 13, 2014
"It's funny, the way life works out."
My smug demeanor can be hidden from no one, as I speak directly to the PWX cameras, with a grin on my face.
"Just a couple of short weeks ago, Roxxie Roberts and I were entangled in this bitter feud with The Establishment, after Brian Hollywood threw his little bitch fit at me. He was upset because I refused to do his dirty work, so I became a target on his little hit list. How exactly is that working out for you, Brian? Because, for those keeping track at home, Roxxie and I are up on the scoreboards! So, what, Darin Zion figures, 'If we can't beat them, join them?' Give me a break! I caught your phony little act last week, Zion. You think by giving Roxxie a shot at the Hybrid Title, you are going to coax us to the dark side? Guess what, asshole- I've been to the dark side, ate all the cookies, and they tasted like shit! No, Roxxie Roberts and Joey Harris are not cut out for The Establishment. It wouldn't be right; it just doesn't feel...natural."
I smirk, obviously amusing myself at this point.
"Back to that little hit list of yours...maybe you're taking it a little too seriously, because this week you are actually sending Assassin after me! Is this some kind of joke? Look, guys, I know there may some hard feelings between us. After all, I DID beat your best rookie and take his title, and then I vacated the championship and sent it sailing into the crowd! So, maybe you think I went a little overboard with that, and I get it. There's something you should know about Joey Harris, guys- if there is anything I am, it is 'over-the-top!' So, fight fire with fire, right? You send your assassin after me- the same Assassin who had his ass whooped by Caleb Houston in his debut match last week! Look, guys, Caleb Houston is one hell of a fighter, so not to understate his skills in the ring or anything...but do you have any idea of the mess you will be cleaning up once I rip Assassin's limbs away from his body and smash his face in with them? Besides, I'm not even sure he is coming around anymore, after learning who is opponent is this week. It's probably for the best, to be honest, because although Assassins are known for being silent killers, if he starts talking again like he did last week, I will probably just die of boredom."
"So, here we are, then. Darin Zion, Brian Hollywood...you guys want to set up this tournament to see who will be the next player in your little game? Batter up, boys! You may think you are doing Roxxie and me a favor this week, but in all actuality you are only hurting yourselves. I want this to be absolutely understood, fellas...I will win this tournament, and become the PWX World Heavyweight Champion- it will go very nicely with my EWF World Heavyweight Championship belt. I will prove that I am the Real World Champion, and if you boys think John Ojeda was bad...if you think the Hell House was terrifying...then you boys are scared of the all the wrong ghosts. TJ Codair, Matthew Prince, John Ojeda, Adam Stryker, Jordan Caliban, and everybody else you idiots have fucked with since taking reign of this place...those boys are all Casper, compared to the nightmare in front of you. The Hell House is dead! Brian Hollywood...Darin Zion...my name is Joey Harris..."
I pull them camera in closer, so that I can be certain they understand what I am trying to say.
"...and I am the Devil, himself!"

Our scene opens as we see Assassin staring into a mirror seemly admiring himself the camera pans back as we see a woman standing a few feet from Assassin holding onto a jacket as Assassin continues to stare into the mirror
Woman You can’t stare at yourself all night. After all we do have to be at this event sooner rather then later.
Assassin continues to stare into the mirror and finally nods as he turns and faces the woman reaching out for the jacket as he slips it on
Assassin Your right we do have to be at this event. I’m just seemly in my own world.
Woman What’s going on?
Assassin It’s this match I have for PWX. I’m taking on Joey Harris and this guys seems to not take me all that seriously. It’s like I’m being overlooked or something.
The woman walks up to Assassin putting her arm around him as he looks at him smiling as they walks for the door
Woman You are not being overlooked. You have to remember you are just getting into this place. Some people aren’t going to take you seriously and even then some people are just dicks.
Assassin True you do have a good point there. I just can’t help feeling like this for some reason. Besides this is our night so I should just focus on us.
The woman nods as they climb into the back of the car closing the door as it pulls away leaving us seeing taillights in the distance
Our scene opens the next day as we see Assassin out for a run around his neighborhood Assassin is sporting an Oregon Ducks shirt and his running shoes as we see him keeping his stride in his run
Assassin Last week didn’t go the way I hoped it would. I thought that I’d be able to come in and pick up my first win in PWX and make a splash. And while some would say I did make a splash with the way I handled the match. The simple fact is I lost plain and simple.
Assassin I hate losing always have. It goes back to my days as a kid being driven to always succeed and to dominate. And I did just that I made my name growing up in football just like I have in wrestling. Some people look at me and they see a joke. Some people hear my name and the jokes insults and everything else just come flying.
Assassin’s pace begins to slow down as he starts to reach his home
Assassin The simple fact is I’ve heard everything that could ever be said about me. And I’ve used that as fuel throughout my career. I have been through it all and have done it all. This guy Joey Harris thinks I’m being used by Brian Hollywood or anyone for that matter he’s sadly mistaken. I don’t do hits for anyone. If I’m going to be going after anyone it’s because I want to or they are in the way of what I want. And that is the case with you Joey. You are in the way of what I want.
Assassin You see I was contacted by someone I trust a few days ago and told that my match with you would have an added caveat and that would be the winner getting into some tournament for the world title. At first I thought it was a joke because well I know how much of a practical joker my source is. But they assured me it wasn’t a joke. So you see your standing in my way when it come to being a champion and I can’t let that happen.
Assassin comes to a stop in front of his house taking a moment to catch his breath as he looks around his neighborhood with a smile
Assassin So to say that I’m going to come out swinging would be an insult. I’m coming out with one goal. And that goal is to take you down and move on into this tournament. Because I want to be the world champion and if stepping over you gets me there then so be it. Besides that title is going to look great around this waist and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.
Assassin chuckles as he walks to the front door of his home opening the door and walking inside as we see the door closing outside as our feed ends
