***Wrestler Name: Elijah Black
***DOB: November 16th, 1990
***Height: 6’1”
***Weight: 202lbs
***Hometown: East Lansing, Michigan
***Alignment: He's on his own side - but he knows he's right.
***Pic Base: Corey Graves
***Wrestler's Entrance: (How your wrestler comes to the ring.)
***Wrestler's Theme Music: Otep – “Smash The Control Machine”
***Wrestler's Bio: Black keeps a lot of his early life to himself, some say it’s to preserve his mystique whilst others say it’s to avoid possible recriminations for his past actions, or even to avoid people finding potential double standards in the anti-capitalist message he preaches.
What is known is he used to be a rabble-rouser with various anti-capitalist groups since his teens, fond of publicity stunts to gain attention for the cause of the groups he was involved with and, eventually, the groups he was running on his own, gaining him notoriety from a variety of people, even some rival groups who saw him as an attention-seeker making every stunt about himself rather than the message. Black denies these accusations, pointing out his involvement may have gained added attention, but he wasn’t front and centre like some claim.
Black had a natural ability to manipulate the local media into doing half the work for him, plus utilised social networking sites to gain a lot more followers he could call upon to help him in his work, although he started to find himself scrutinised by law enforcement, including an overnight detainment under anti-terror laws even though none of his activities could be filed under the laws he was incarcerated for.
Finding himself increasingly shut down, Black started using guerrilla techniques, which saw him hit the gym in order to work on fitness and endurance as his activities required the smallest number of people possible, and a lot of running and scaling fences and walls. Black also learned a few self-defence techniques in this period, just in case.
However, even this couldn’t last forever, and Black was arrested and sentenced, narrowly avoiding jail but part of his probation forbids him associating with any underground activities.
Whilst he was training, though, he also became involved in the local backyard wrestling scene, essentially to work on his self-defence and conditioning, so when his probation said he couldn’t participate in anti-capitalist activities it was the one thing to focus his mind, and he decided to get professional training.
Thus far, this path has actually worked. He signed up to Tri State Wrestling and became a cornerstone of the federation, winning their Underground Title on the final TSWF show, and was put forward to represent the company at Wrestlefest II and became UWL Champion, all the while staying true to his roots.
***Titles won:
Tri State Wrestling Federation Underground Title
UWL Champion
PWX Evolution Champion
PWX World Champion x2
PWX Tag Team Champion (with Daniel Everett)
***Attitude: Black always sees himself as being in the right, more often than not justifiably, but this leads to him seeing a lot of opponents as being in the wrong, although some of this can be attributed to him psyching himself up by framing opponents as The Enemy. Black’s demeanour is often in your face and he is very provocative, be it his promo style or him going out of his way to aggravate opponents during matches – he’ll often slap them in the face during a match or take cheap shots in an attempt to make them lose their cool, which is a big part of his tactics as he is an opportunist.
***Appearance: Elijah Black’s look can best be described as “alternative”, in possibly the understatement of the year. He has shoulder-length hair he dyes black, a lip ring that he wears even during matches, a couple of small silver rings through his left ear. He will sometimes wear black nail varnish as well.
Black has an extensive collection of tattoos. He has dragon wings on his back, a red spider covering his right bicep, flames around his right wrist, a black flag around his left calf, a biohazard symbol surrounding his navel, but the most striking is the piece that covers his left arm that features, among other imagery: the Eye of Providence from the dollar bill on his left bicep, an inverted US flag, a dollar bill featuring the Devil's face, a sabot cat, whilst the insider of his forearm reads "A MAN CHOOSES/A SLAVE OBEYS" surrounded by chain links.
Black has a lean build with a certain amount of toning, so he doesn’t have the quote-unquote “look” of a pro wrestler, but that’s part of his plan to make opponents underestimate him.
***In-ring attire: Black wears a pair of urban camo-print shorts with black panels down the side of each leg, with the right leg reading “BLACK” in gothic script, whilst the left leg features differing symbols based on which pair he is wearing:
* A trio of Eye of Providence
* A trio of raised fist motifs
* A trio of black flags
* A trio of sabot cats
* A trio of black rose symbols
* A trio of bisected red and yellow stars (symbolising anti-capitalism) with a white outline
* A trio of bisected red and black stars (symbolising anarchy) with a white outline
* A trio of Libertatis Æquilibritas symbols
* A trio of Circle V symbols ((symbolising anti-capitalism)
* A trio of Circle A symbols (symbolising anarchy)
* A trio of Che Guevara portraits
Black’s boots follow the same principle, being red with black kickpads if he’s heel and gold with black kickpads when face.
Black has athletic tape around both wrists, but often has a black bandana wrapped around his right wrist as well, which he uses to wipe sweat out of his eyes or even as a makeshift weapon.
Black always wears a black hoodie to the ring, which he removes before matches.
***Backstage attire: Black’s wardrobe consists of various punk band t-shirts, coupled with beat-up jeans he picked up in a thrift store. In the winter months, he wears a parka jacket, army surplus jacket, or pea jacket.
As the leader of the Vox, there's a slightly more militarised look to his backstage garb. He still has the t-shirts of various punk bands, metal bands or horror movies, but couples them with urban camo trousers that have been cut off at the knee to resemble his ring gear, and has a red bandana tied around his left arm.
***What type is your wrestler? High impact with antagonistic tactics

2.) The Black Descent (jumping reverse neckbreaker - from behind an opponent, Black jumps and hooks their head, pulling them over to drive their neck onto on his knee)
3. Dead Like You (Argentine rack spun into cutter)
4.) Black State (Vertebreaker)
Black will typically try to finish matches with either The Black Descent of Black Collar, even using the Burakkusuta if the opponent is off guard. On the other hand, Black State is rarely used - it is saved for matches where he wants to make a statement, or as the final manoeuvre in his locker to get the job done.
***Sample RP:
[Sitting in the studio of a local TV station, Elijah Black sits in a folding chair with the UWL Championship belt over his shoulder. Black was offered a video package by PWX, but elected to spend his own money to film this instead, sitting in a studio with the lights dimmed, looking at the camera]
Even though there’s so much I can point to in my career, it still comes to this, doesn’t it? It doesn’t matter what I’ve said, what I’ve done, and what I’ve achieved, the main thing that I heard is that apparently I have to justify myself all over again. Even though I hold this…
[Black pats the UWL Championship belt]
Something that overrules this federation, I believe, but don’t let that nugget of information grow or you might wonder whose ego runs this place.
But I guess I’ll play along, after all I’m not the guy riddled with insecurity who thinks the door to his office is the edge of the world, where ships sail into the distance before plunging into the abyss beyond. No, I’m the guy who is going to help him do what he really wants to do, regardless of what he tells the most gullible of you – make himself that little bit richer.
Don’t delude yourself, it’s a business, and the capitalist machine needs money to grease the wheels…and that’s why I decided to step back from it, refuse to have PWX management spend some money to hire a studio and film me, because then he might look at me as an investment he wants a return on, and because I don’t want to be acquiescing to their requests now in case they think I might be in the habit of following orders. Instead, here I am, proving that it doesn’t matter where you say the words that get your message across, because when you have a captive audience they’re not going to worry too much about picture quality or production values, and with any luck might shut up and listen.
You see, I already know the quote-unquote “best” that PWX has to offer, and if you want to know if I can hang in this federation all you really need to do is ask James Silkk about that Iron Man match we had, where I won the title you’re looking at right now. If that isn’t enough, ask him about his rematch. Come on, Silkk, tell everyone what happened when you faced this guy from Tri State in the match you told yourself was your coronation, I’m sure they’d love to hear every last detail.
[Black smirks]
You know what’s funny? As soon as it was clear Tri State had folded, I was being told by the UWL committee that I needed to jump to the first fed that would take me in order to preserve the prestige of this title. Yes, really, they wanted to rush me into the first contract shoved under my nose, without letting me check my options. And you know what I said to them? I said…you know what, if this title is so valuable to you, I’ll pick the place I want to move to, and I’ll tell you when I have made my choice, and not the other way around. So apologies to the other members of the UWL for missing out on some railroaded talent, but I took my time, weighed my options, and here I am…justifying my imminent debut.
For those who didn’t pay attention to any fed other than the one you’re in, or the one you watch, you’re getting a crash course in what I do. I don’t follow orders, never have and never will, because I know something that nobody dares tell you – that you are free to choose every single day of your life. The fact this revelation is kept from you says a lot, because it keeps things nice and easy and controllable. Think about it, one day you’re dumped in school, and many years later you are told to go to college, then you’re told to go to work, and then…well, so many hopes and dreams you had way back then have passed out of view and you’re left with what you’ve got. Then you die. Last time I checked, that’s not a life, that’s cattle being herded onto a conveyer belt at the abattoir, ready to be processed into a suitable by-product fit for consumption.
I waited, and I chose PWX, because that’s what I wanted to do. So give yourself a cheer because you just gained a UWL Champion without having to beg…but the fact is I didn’t beg, I didn’t accept a handout or any charity, and I stuck to my guns.
[Black sweeps a hand through his dyed-black hair]
I’ve given you everything you need to know for now, and if you want to know more, I have a couple of words for you: Google, Youtube. That’s all you have to do, show a little initiative and do some research, formulate your own opinion. I mean, you probably hear twenty guys a year say how they’ll come in and dominate, am I right? And how many do you believe? One? Two? Some? All? None?
Take the information you’ve been given. I’ve captured the UWL Championship, and held onto it. If you check online you’ll see I was a big deal in Tri State. There’s plenty of my matches and promos available to watch, so you can do that, but the fact is you need to make up your own mind. Do you, the people paying to watch the events, think that I will fit in, because that’s the important factor that all too often is taken out of your hands because you’re being told what to think, time and time again.
Seriously, stop listening to me now, and do a little research. I’m not going to hype myself up like a hack, and I have little interest in being something promoted to the hilt before I’ve set foot in the ring. Watch, listen, learn. Build up the hype through word of mouth, something that is valid in this day and age, and let it grow. You have the ability to do it, you always did and always will – this isn’t North Korea, just a bad facsimile of it.
But first, for the sake of entertainment, catch the Fox News coverage of the inauguration. Nothing is funnier than an embittered Romneyite trying to stop their head exploding on national TV. Your boy lost, get over it!
[Black throws his head back in laughter]
Seriously, that’s all. You can switch the camera off now…

[Purple lights pulse around the arena as “Smash The Control Machine” thunders through the speakers…]
With the perfect hair
And the perfect wife
And the perfect kids
And the perfect life
I will finally be somebody...
[…before Elijah Black steps out on top of the ramp, surveying the arena around him with the hood of his black hoodie raised, slowly raising a fist]
(Let's play born-again American, resistance is the game!))
[Black throws his head back, throwing the hood back around his shoulders, and shakes some of the excess water out of his hair as he begins to walk down the ramp]
Two pigs wearing suits
Brought the news
That I'm wanted by the bank
They say the rent is due
Caesar's onto you
So you better remember your place
[Black walks down the ramp at a slow, deliberate pace, a smirk on the corner of his lips as he ignores the fans around him]
Then they outsourced my job
And gave a raise to my boss
Bailed out your banks
But billed me for the loss
[…reaching the bottom of the ramp, Black pauses at ringside to flick his attention to the ring for a moment, before he paces around the ringside area]
They say we must submit
And be one with the Machines
Because the Kingdom of Fear
Needs compliance to succeed
[Pacing around the ring, Black continues his deliberate pace around the ring, staying within his own headspace and blocking out the crowd’s reaction]
So waterboard the kids for fun
It's all the rage
And play born-again American
Resistance is the game
[Quick as a flash, Black breaks from his patrol of ringside and jumps onto the apron, waiting for a moment on one knee for the right moment in his theme…]
SMASH THE CONTROL MACHINE
Work, buy, consume, die
[Black quickly scales the turnbuckles from the ring apron, standing on the top rope and holds his fist in the air, looking out over the crowd and looking pleased with himself]
SMASH THE CONTROL MACHINE
Happy little slaves - for minimum wage
[Black jumps off the top rope into the ring, slapping himself on the chest a couple of times before standing with his arms spread wide, as he turns to invite the crowd’s reaction]
((The revolution will be monetized
And streamed live via renegade wi-fi))
