Tag Team Match Mascara Muerto vs Team Hanson
RP Limit: 1 per person
Deadline: 3-5-14 at Midnight CST
Story: A few weeks ago, Mascara Muerto pulled off the unthinkable by upsetting the Knock Out Kings and eliminating them from the World Cup! This week, they find themselves in regular tag team play against just eliminated from the World Cup, Team Hanson. Mascara Muerto is definitely riding on momentum as they come into this match. This match comes a week early before their next round showdown. Can Mascara Muerto keep the momentum riding? Or will Team Hanson, who had a rough loss to Vox Populi this past week, find a way to get back on the winning path and kill any momentum Mascara Muerto is hoping to have going into the next round?

Congrats Black your team moved on in the tournament, a tournament that also has Hollywood and Zion also in it. Do you really think the so called Establishment is going to let you move on? Do you really think that they are going to let any of these teams win the belts, they have their own agendas to push. They can't let their massive egos sit on the sidelines while some of the more deserving talent, the talent that is working their asses off trying to make PWX something special each and every day. It just blows my mind that the powers that are running this place are the ones that are booking themselves in high profile matches, titles matches, tournament spots. I mean come on just how long do you think it will be before the fans turn on your what you're trying to build Zion? You can sit there and try to say that people have poisoned PWX in the past but your complete and utter lack of being able to put your massive ego in your back pocket and to let the talent you have rise to the occasion and bring PWX to the top.
You just can't stand it can you, you try so hard to blame me, Pariah and everyone else in between for what has brought down PWX in the past but each day that you continue to book yourself in matches, matches where someone else might be more deserving of that spot it just tells me one thing, it tells me that you are insecure about each and thing you do. You want me to see how things are going to be, you want me to see the terror that you brought to Stryker well that's all well and fine but do me a favor and be a man, grow a set of balls for a change Zion. I mean you sit there and you bitch and moan about how Sex and Money ruined you and how I am responsible for everything that is going on right now. The funny thing about all that is Hollywood was just a big a part of all that back then as I was but yet you two are as thick as thieves. So I guess that makes you a hypocrite, that makes you a liar but what makes it worse of all is the fact that you are just flat out afraid of me, you're afraid of looking at me face to face and seeing what a real star looks like. See I don't need two PWX World titles, I don't need to be a grand champion in PWX see calling yourself that in this place is not that big of a deal. See when you can go to different places and people know you or have heard about you then THAT is when you've made it.
See Zion I don't need to win a match against you to just flat out beat your ass and that is exactly what is going to happen whenever this damn match happens. I am going to beat you like a red-headed stepchild and send you back to the locker room with the “i just pumped the neighbors cat” look on your face. I am the one that has to live with the fact that I tried to “train” both you and your boyfriend Hollywood on the finer points of the business but the only thing the two of you learned was how to put yourselves over at the cost of anyone else. See its not the first time I have had to work for a boss that is really this out of touch with what the fans really want so you go ahead Darin play your dumb little games, run PWX into the shithouse faster then the Oleson twins could have ever dreamed. But just remember this you can book me and Sam in whatever match you want, we are family and he at the moment is the only person in PWX that I can trust. You want to try and break me or show me what is going to happen down the road well you are going to have to do a lot better then that son. I have been at this a lot longer then you and been at it with men and women ten times better then you so you will just have to bring your best pal, do whatever it takes, go the extra mile. Are you willing to end a career? Are you willing to break laws? Have you thought of killing someone to get to the end goal? Well I have....so until you are willing to do some of those thing, until you can look yourself in the mirror after throwing a man out of three story window and ending his career to take his title then and ONLY then will you be able to look me in the face. I have done things that to this day haunt me, they are my burdens to bear Darin and there is nothing that you can do, nothing you can say that will ever make me walk away from this. You wanted this, you could have let this go, you could have walked away and said “Noah just isn’t worth it” but you had to go out there and push buttons, had to go out there and bring lawyers in it and make it worse then it was. So when Team Hanson takes those two masked tortilla chips, dip them in some ringside salsa and do a freaking Mexican hat dance all over their refried bean heads don't say I didn't warn you, do say you had no idea it would turn out like this because you knew all to well how this was gonna turn out. The thing I don't know the two luchadores, don't care about why we are fighting them but you can rest assured that they are not going to get the win over me and my uncle. They may be in the tournament but they are going back to the tomato fields during their day job knowing just what it means to be a wrestling superstar, they need to make sure they have all their green papers intact and signed and legal BEFORE they show up next time.
Team Hanson is going to show the rest of this place that the loss that was nothing more then a gift to Elijah Black, that all it happened to be was a fluke. Nothing more, nothing less being the number one seed in this wing ding is not something to be proud of when you have the so called clowns running it also including themselves in the tournament. But then most of the people in this place are ok with being mediocrity, they are more then willing to be just another cog in the machine, wanting to be nothing more then a lemming willing to follow the rest of the clowns off the cliff into oblivion well the Hanson clan has never been much for following we are usually the ones leading the way, we are usually the ones making places faces, making names for ourselves and carving out legacies.
So Darin, Brian you two clown keep running the place into the ground, keep showing the fans and the locker room that you really don't give to squirts of piss about anyone but yourselves.
Fate...
Destiny...
Sometimes it just doesn't matter, sometimes you are just dealt a shitty hand and you have to learn to adapt to the situation and overcome it. So this is just the beginning of making the Establishments reign as chaotic as possible...
Kansas City, Kansas 3/1/14 5 pm Noah's Apartment
Noah is shown sitting on his couch, he seems to just be zoned out and not interested in a whole lot of things when Vixen walks in and sees Noah sitting there.
“You want a drink babe?” She asked Noah as she walked over to the fridge, opened it and pulled out two bottles of tea. She walks over to Noah and sits next to him on the couch and hands a bottle to Noah. He looks at the bottle and places it on the table and begins surfing through the channels on the tv.
“I know the loss to Black and Everett was tough to take...” she started but Noah cuts her off.
Noah shakes his head furiously. “The loss meant nothing ok, lets make sure we get that clear. And the fact that me and Sam have not worked together since I was kid had nothing to with it. I mean we had been sparring together but it doesn't match in ring experience. I am not making excuses but once me and Sam get on the same page with a few matches then we get a few things settled. They want to throw us against these two illegal immigrants its fine by me i'll throw these spot monkeys all over the ring and when Uncle Sam comes in and nails the Last Call well lets just say that the two little monkeys might just have fallen and broken their damn heads. Who knows maybe they won't even be able to make it to the next round, which I think is a real crock considering that the Establishment is in firm position to put themselves in the title match.” “Abuse of power??” Vixen asked.
“Something like that...” Noah replied coldly. “It's weird when Brian and I first met he was green but he respected the business, respected the rest of the group and was ready to earn his part in the team. Not sure what happened, greed, not being able to make it anywhere outside here and HOW. I know that the world is a tough place and tough to succeed but you have to learn, grown and try new things but sitting here in PWX all this time. The critics gave me a lot of flak for leaving PWX when it needed it stars the most but they really had no idea the journeys to others feds to other territories made me the wrestler I am today. It's easy to say I gave up on PWX but I didn't I wanted to get out there and try other places and not be chained down by one place. I mean it was always in good hands, it was almost always flourishing. But people are gonna blame me no matter what, haters gonna hate I guess. I think they are just made that I went out and succeeded in spite of the fact that PWX failed at least a couple times when I wasn't there, tried to do reunion shows and then finally brought the place back to life on this last run and who was a part of that? Yours truly of course...but was there any thank yous? Any you're welcomes? No....just bitching and moaning as usual...”
“So what do you plan to do about it.” Vixen asked.
“Nothing....” Noah said as he shook his head. “We are gonna ruffle feathers and piss people off by just being here and that is all I need. Zion wants this and sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for.”
Quaff Bar and Grill Kansas City, Kansas 5:45 pm
Samuel Hanson is shown sitting at the bar, he has a long neck Bud in one hand and a cigarette in the other. The smoke slowly trails off the end of it and flows slowly towards the ceiling, almost dancing to the late eighties guitar rock that is churning out of the jukebox in the corner. He takes a long drink and places the bottle back on the counter.
“Do I know you?” the bartender asked as she placed another bottle next the one he is already drinking. “You just look familiar for some reason.”
Sam shook his head. “Not me sunshine, been out of the game for years...now my nephew you might know, he's a big shot movie star and all...but me I don't like the spotlight all that much I prefer to do the grunt work.”
“You used to work at a bar over on the east year years ago right?” the slender brunette asked. “Down on Clay street right?”
“Doll that was a long time ago but yeah I used to work there....knew the owners they were almost family to me, good people but again that was years and this old dog don't hunt no more.” Sam cautiously explained as if he had something to hide.
In the back of the bar though was someone that knew the Hanson all to well he went by the name Jackson and was never afraid of any member of the Hanson clan and usually went out of way to prove it. Jackson is a large mountain of a man, was a former lineman at the University of Missouri, had a brief run in the USFL and then would basically be a bodyguard for hire but those days were well past and when the word that Noah and Sam were in town Jackson wouldn't be one to pass up a chance to rattle a few cages. Standing at six foot seven inches and tipping the scales at three hundred and twenty-seven pounds its usually hard to miss Jackson but with Sam advanced age and his beer consumption he has not realized who was there. The bartender places another beer in line with the one full and one nearly gone bottles, Samuel looks at the newest bottle curiously and looks at the brunette oddly.
“I didn't ask for another.” Sam growled.
“He paid for it.” the brunette said as she pointed in Jackson’s direction. Sam turned and rolled his eyes at the sight of Jackson sitting in the back with two “young” ladies draped on each side. His black sunglasses covering his eyes and Mr. T gold chain starter kit draped his massive chest and he simply nodded in Sam's direction. Sam held the beer up and simply nodded back, not sure what to expect but not in the mood for a fight either.
“What you doing in town old man?” Jackson yelled.
“Just a stop over till we head to the next PWX show.” Sam replied pushing the empty bottle of out the way.
“Didn't think i'd ever see your sorry ass back here again but it's like my lucky day. I get to kick at least one Hanson after what happened to my brother.” Jackson roared. “Noah ruined him in Wrestling Midwest....”
“Come on man let it go...that was a LONG time ago....” Sam said as he pulled his long silvery hair back and tied it in a ponytail, fully expecting to be fighting Jackson soon and not looking forward to it.
“Dre's career was promising but that damn hotel match, Noah could have killed him but I guess god was looking out for him that day.” Jackson barked. “I have waited for the day to get some family to family payback and it finally came through.
Jackson pulled his large frame from the chair, the two girls begged Jackson to not do it but Jackson just moved forward.
“Noah always talks about fate...destiny...like they're his pals...well they just turned heel on Noah...” Jackson warned.
“We don't want to do this....” Sam warned.
“I have waited a long time to do this Sam...”

Masks, Magazines and Momentum
As the scene fades in we see one half of the masked duo light on his feet shadow boxing in the locker room while the other half is just sitting at the table reading a magazine. Norte appears to be very fired up with quick jabs as he moves around the room while Muerto continues to sit silently reading. As Norte begins to calm down he makes his way over to the table and sits down.
Norte: Ah can you feel that energy amigo? I know you are just as fired up as I am for our next match! Granted yes it is not a tournament match, but a match is a match! We will treat this as any other opportunity to show what we can do! Am I right?
Muerto glances over briefly from his PWX magazine to Norte and then returns his attention to the magazine.
Norte: I knew I was right! We have a chance to bring all this energy and momentum into this match and use it to springboard ourselves, possibly literally, straight into our next Tournament match and then onto the finals! High expectations are all around my friend!
Norte stands back up from the table and begins some stretching routines as he prepares himself for what could be another touch challenge in Team Hanson. While Muerto continues to just sit there reading.
Norte: People must be wondering how well we are going to do in this match since it has been two weeks since our last and if we have any momentum left but I know we will prove them wrong! Not to take away from our opponents but they did lose their last match against, what was their name again?
He turns to look at Muerto who glances up from his magazine for a moment before returning to his reading.
Norte: No, I don't think Fox Pupil is their name. I'm sure I'll think of it eventually I've been so focused on our next match!
There is another moment of silence which is broken by Muerto thumbing another page in the magazine as Norte resumes some shadow boxing.
Norte: You're right, we do still have that interview thing don't we? I almost forgot about that thanks for reminding me! What do you think they will ask us?
He would turn his head to look at Muerto who remains buried in the magazine.
Norte: Obviously they will ask us about our match, but that can't be the only thing, we should be prepared to give clear and precise answers in a timely fashion after all.
Ending his shadow boxing he would return to the table where Muerto is sitting with his magazine in hand. Taking a seat he would let out a relaxed sigh as he sits there wondering what to do next to pass the time.
Norte: So...whatcha reading?
Muerto would lower the magazine to look at Norte for a few seconds before lifting it back up to read in silence.
Norte: To think we are so close to winning our first gold ever in the big leagues! It's so close all we have to do is just reach out and take it! Then everyone will see just how good we are!
As the two sit there a cell phone can be heard ringing which Norte pulls out and answers.
Norte: Hello? Oh hey Harley, long time no speak. We're good, yeah we're at PWX for their tag tournament. We beat Stryker and Pariah in the first round. I know I was surprised too! We don't know who we're facing in the second round, our next match is a normal tag match. Team Hanson. Noah Hanson and his uncle I believe. What have you been up to? Really? Well you should stop by after all we are only two matches away from winning the gold! Yes but optimism helps! Okay deal, when we make it to the finals you have to be there for the match. Stryker? Uh he's doing his own thing against Hollywood and Zion. No I haven't really talked to him, why? Okay well at any rate you should stop by maybe do something here too like us and. I see, no troubles. Don't worry we will show the world what we can do and we will claim those titles.
Muerto lowers the magazine and looks over at Norte as he is talking, Norte notices this.
Norte: Muerto wants to say hi.
Norte holds the phone over to Muerto who takes the phone and holds it up to the side of his head where he holds it there for a while before handing it back to Norte.
Norte: See we are both confident that we will win if you can't trust my word, trust Muerto's! Okay, yeah talk to you again, bye.
Norte hangs up the cell phone and puts it away as he stands up from the table while Muerto goes back to reading his magazine.
Norte: Well amigo it is time we set off! We have that interview to get to and we don't want to be late, it would look bad for us and the last thing I want to do is disappoint!
Muerto folds up the magazine and sets it down on the table as he gets up from the table and walks over to the door waiting for Norte.
Norte: My thoughts exactly! On the way we should discuss the possible questions we will be asked.
Norte walks over to the door and opens it allowing Muerto to exist first and Norte follows close behind pulling the door shut as the scene fades out.
A Masked Interview
The scene fades back in to reveal a small room with a table and a big PWX logo in the background as we see the Masked Duo taking their seats at the table where they are joined by a third man in a suit. Once all three are settled the man in the suit turns towards the camera.
Interviewer: Gentlemen thank you both for joining me this evening as we head towards Adrenaline 70. Now I'd like to say a little about you two before begin. You are both two of the newest arrivals here in PWX and you are both masked wrestlers. You both arrived as one of the teams competing in the Tag Tournament for the vacant titles and in your first match here for the company and the tournament you managed to knock off veteran wrestlers Adam Stryker and Hall of Famer John Pariah. Now that is rather impressive, two rookies coming in and toppling one of the favorites to win the whole thing. How did it feel when the bell rang and you two were declared the winners?
Norte: It was incredible, at first I couldn't believe we had won I mean as you said we were two rookies going up against seasoned veterans and we walked out with the win. I still look back on that moment and can't believe it really happened, but here we are moving on to the second round so it had to have happened.
Interviewer: How would you rate the match? How does it compare to matches you've had on the smaller scenes and elsewhere?
Norte: Definitely a great match and one of my favorites, the flow was good the synergy was good the fans loved it what more can I say? We put our all into that match and our opponents definitely brought theirs and somehow we managed to pull out the victory. If you were to tell me it was beginners luck I would probably agree with you on that, I guess this next match will determine that.
Interviewer: Speaking of which your next match will pit you against another PWX Hall of Famer and seasoned veteran Noah Hanson and his back from retirement uncle. The two suffered a loss against Elijah Black and Daniel Everett also known as Vox Populi and were eliminated from the tournament and are now set to face you two at ADR 70. Your thoughts?
Norte: I'm not sure what to say, I remember hearing Noah's name years back in Majestic Wrestling but other than that I don't know much about him other than what others have said about the career he has had. Being a Hall of Famer that has to account for something so I expect one hell of a fight when we meet in the ring. As for their loss to Vox Populi again I don't know what to say, I mean losses happen I for one am no stranger to losing a match so it could just be as simple as a lost match.
Interviewer: On the topic of Vox Populi, they are going to be in the finals, have the two of you been thinking up strategies on how to face them should you find yourselves in a match with them?
Norte: Actually we haven't, currently we have just been focusing on keeping focused and ready for our next match which even though it hasn't been confirmed we can only assume it will be against Gorgeous Disaster.
Interviewer: If you can knock them off then you'll be in the finals and will have your shot at winning the gold. With how things are looking the final match is shaping up to be a triple tag match, which has me wondering how do you plan to fight that kind of a match?
Norte: It will definitely be a challenge, normally you just have to spend a week or so preparing to face one other team, watching their moves learning how they work together and go from there. But with that kind of a match you have another team to study and worry about, you can only ever plan to face a team one on one. You'll know how to fight one member of one team but the wildcard is there in the form of the third team having a guy in the ring, you can't focus on two guys at once and mount a continued targeted offense.
Interviewer: As high fliers you both used your natural agility in your match against the Knock Out Kings, how would that agility play out in a triple tag match?
Norte: It will definitely be an advantage but it's one thing to use it to wear down one opponent when there is only one to worry about. In that kind of a match we'll have to divide up our offense just like our opponents to wear them down, if we focus only on one guy at a time sure we will wear him down but then you still have a fresh guy waiting to take advantage of you once you've used up your energy on the other guy. So it presents us with an interesting situation. On one hand you have our agility which gives us an edge but at the same time we have to hold back on going all out or else we risk wearing ourselves out at the same time leaving a fresh opponent to capitalize.
Interviewer: So you would say there is a high level of strategy going into such a match?
Norte: Without a doubt, true there is strategy going into any match but with one like this it requires a lot more thinking a lot more planning. Everyone in that match will of course want to win but it will be a much stronger need since the titles will be for grabs. Everyone is going to give a hundred and twenty percent but at the same time you have to use that energy wisely.
Interviewer: So will the fans expect to see a long match?
Norte: It's possibly but hard to tell, there are two possibly outcomes. The first being a quick blitz of high impact moves to quickly put someone down for an easy three if everyone goes firing off from the moment the bell rings which would result in everyone burning off their energy early. The second outcome is like you said a long match, one that is drawn out and where every move is calculated and planned several steps ahead of the others.
Interviewer: So you'll have a lot of planning to do should you defeat Gorgeous Disaster to advance to the finals. With so much thought focused on the tournament does it change the way you view your match with Team Hanson?
Norte: Not at all, we view any and all matches as a challenge, as an opportunity to show what we can do and push ourselves to be a little better each time. So we will not take our match with Team Hanson lightly, we will treat it like every other match. We will go into that match with the purpose of giving it our all, do or die, win or lose. As competitors we expect the same courtesy from Team Hanson, we expect them to give us their all like it was the most important match of their careers because that is how we will treat it.
Interviewer: Not saying you have any intention of losing this match, but a loss here wouldn't affect your place in the tournament so how would you treat a loss to Team Hanson?
Norte: Tournament or not a loss is a loss and as much as we do not want to lose it is an inevitable part of this industry so we accept that a loss to Team Hanson is not only possible but very likely. We do not expect to win but that only drives us to win even more to really fight like it is our last chance. We will treat that loss as a chance to improve and as a motivator to get back out there and show that hey we may have lost but here we are, ready for another round. While a loss can demoralize someone it is also an opportunity to push yourself towards being better. So if we lose to Team Hanson we will carry that with us into our match against Gorgeous Disaster or whoever else we face next so that we can push ourselves to go farther than before and pull out a victory.
Interviewer: Since we're on the topics of ifs. What if you win the tournament and become the new tag champions, what will you do?
Norte: We'd celebrate obviously but on a more serious note we will dedicate our time to bringing the tag team division into a new era for PWX. To bring more into the foreground and shine a spotlight on the talented teams that PWX has on it's roster. There is an art to tag team wrestling, you can be a good singles wrestler but once you step into the tag team division there needs to be that chemistry between you and your partner which goes beyond just being able to wrestle with them. You have to know what your partner is thinking at all times, take a look at our match against the Knock Out Kings. We were able to do some of the things we did because we know how the other thinks and we are always looking for ways to not only wear down our opponents but set them up for a double team out of nowhere. You have to time every move perfectly so the other can react in turn and follow through. It also helps being a little crazy.
Interviewer: Like the belly to belly that ended with a perfectly timed Frog Splash on Pariah?
Norte: Or Muerto using Parish as a springboard.
Interviewer: Improvisation at it's best.
Norte: No doubt. You need to know how to improvise and react to things in the blink of an eye. Such as when we countered their Stereo Dives with Stereo Superkicks.
Interviewer: A highlight of the match I'm sure. Though we seem to have gotten a little offtrack here so if we could get back to the questions if you don't mind.
Norte: Go right ahead.
Interviewer: Now as rookies here in PWX I'm sure you are still being taken lightly as competitors even after that stellar match with the Knock Out Kings. Does it upset you at all here or anywhere when that happens? No offense though.
Norte: None taken. When we first started out it used to bug me but after a while I realized that it was just another part of the job, that I'd have to face it wherever I go and regardless of what I do what either of us do. If people want to take us lightly then they can it doesn't bother us anymore it just means they will be that much more surprised when we show them what we can really do. If you take us lightly you'll just make us try that much harder and do that much better. We turn it into a motivator.
Interviewer: Well said. Now another question I have is how come Muerto doesn't talk?
Norte: What do you mean? He talks all the time, isn't that right amigo?
There is a pause as Norte looks to Muerto who just sits there silently like before staring from the interviewer to the camera.
Norte: Easy now Muerto you don't have to get defensive I'm sure he meant nothing by it. He is a little upset however that you have only been asking me questions and not allowing him to answer.
The interviewer looks confused as he turns his attention to Muerto who stares at him.
Interviewer: Uh, okay. Um, Muerto, what are your thoughts on all that you two have done since arriving here in PWX?
Muerto sits there silently for several moments which then starts pushing several moments resulting in several instances of Norte holding up his hand to stop the Interviewer from talking. Eventually Norte pats Muerto on the shoulder a few times.
Norte: Well said Muerto. I told you he talks, though if you're not careful he will talk your ears off!
Muerto turns his head to look at Norte
Norte: What? I was kidding relax!
The interviewer still looking confused turns his focus back to Norte.
Interviewer: Well I think we have time for one last question. Where do you two stand when it comes to the way Darin Zion and Brian Hollywood have been using their power in PWX?
Norte: That is a tough one. While we disagree with some of the things they have done with their power it also not our business to tell them how they should run their company but as we saw at Hostile Takeover, eventually they get what is coming to them. If I saw anymore I run the risk of stepping into some politics I want no part of, we are here to entertain and to win the tag team titles even if that means facing our very bosses for them. Whatever happens down the road happens and we will have to live with the outcome and all that it entails.
Interviewer: Gentlemen thank you once again for joining me here tonight.
Norte: It was a pleasure.
Interviewer: I hope we can do it again some day, maybe next time I'll be speaking to you as the new tag team champions.
Norte: Maybe.
Interviewer: That is all the time we have for once again thank you for stopping by and good luck in your match.
All three men stand up from the table as Norte shakes hands with the Interviewer same as Muerto before the duo starts to walk off screen as we fade to black.
