Chapter Three: Catching Up
Friday January 31th, 2014 in Los Angeles, California around 4:00 P.M.
"Yeah this is my place," David said to his sister Keira as he opened the door to his loft so his sister could enter his place. Actually, it was know their house now. That was something that would take a moment for David to get use to. Before this place was his place of privacy. Now he was sharing it. In this case, it was with blood. But given their first few interactions with each other for the first time in four years, it was almost as if at the moment he was sharing his place with a stranger. Keira walks in with her luggage and take a look around David's place. She smirks as she takes a stroll through the living room; taking a look at all the pictures on his wall. She stops and looks at a pair of white wrestling boots pinned to the teal wall. She touches it for a moment before looking back at David.
"Ah so you're so lazy that you have to nail your boots to the wall instead of putting them up," Keira remarked towards David. David looks at Keira and fake laughs.
"Ha ha ha you're a real comedian these days love are you now," David replied. Keira laughs.
"It was more of an educated guess mate."
"Oy whatever. And for your information sis, those were the boots I wore in my first wrestling match."
"And you kept it all this time? How touching." Keira continues to scan David's loft with her eyes. "I'm surprised this place isn't as messy as you use to leave your room back at our parents' house."
"A since when did you become so bloody chippy Keira? All you've been doing since the airport is trying to bust my balls." Keira flashes a smile on her face as she turns away from David's wall and starts heading towards the kitchen. David simply goes and flops on his couch.
"Maybe it's because you didn't bother to call me for the last four years you wanker," she commented. David rolled his eyes.
"Oy don't give me that shit Keira. You know what I've been doing the last four years. Just didn't have enough time that's all."
"Not enough time for your own sister? Guess I'm just one of those bimbos you use to mess around with a? Just forget that I exist?" Keira soon goes to open the refrigerator and sees the very small amount of food inside.
"Geez David are you on a budget or something? You don't got shit in here," Keira yells out.
"Guess you couldn't just wait to start raiding my fucking fridge a?" Keira looks around until she stumbles upon a lone beer bottle. Keira eyes the bottle for a second before she grabs it with her hands and opens the cap. "And yeah I got to do a little grocery shopping. I got that part. But shit I wasn't able to do anything else but make sure I make enough room for you since God knows nobody fucking ever asked me whether or not you could move in here let alone even tell me you were coming over to the States in the bloody first place!"
"Well we wanted it to be a surprise David. That's all." Keira laughs as she starting drinking from the bottle. As she enters back into the living room, David catches Keira with his beer bottle.
"Aye that was my beer," David instantly fired off as he jumped off his couch and walked up to Keira. he then snatches the bottle out of her hands.
"Hey i was drinking out of that," Keira hissed. David then downs the entire bottle of beer until there was nothing left. Once he was finished, he flashed the empty bottle in her face before throwing it in the trash.
"Since we both have to deal with this let me make one thing clear sis; Rule number one, never touch my beer a," David says with a firm tone. Keira sports an irked expression.
"Where's your bloody manners? Don't you know you never snatch anything from a woman's hand?"
"Bah whatever just don't touch my shit oy?"
"Well it's not your shit anymore you prick. It's our shit now." David lets out a sigh as he tried his best to restrain his anger for his younger sister. David went back and sat on the couch and already within ten minutes he was loathing the new situation.
"You know I don't know what has happened to you within those four years but you were better when you wasn't able hurt a fruit fly. Because if you keep acting like this, sister or not, you're going to bugger out of my place. Because this is still MY place sis. I was just forced to let you stay here."
"Whatever David. Fact of the matter is I'm here now and we're living together. End of the story." David watches as Keira grabs her luggage and starts walking up the stairs with them. One thing that was for sure, over the past four years, both David and Keira had changed as people. They had both changed as human beings and being that it was the first time in four years that the two had seen each other, both were unfamiliar with their new selves. This point was obvious in the short amount of time the two had spent together. David didn't know when Keira changed her attitude, but David wasn't a fan of this new Keira and the worst part was that he had to share a home with her. He had to relearn everything about his sister all over again. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Later that night at a Local Bar
"Since when did you start drinking alcohol," David said to his sister Keira as the two were sitting in the bar, taking shots together. Throughout the entire day, the two siblings has been butting heads as they were catching up on everything that's happened to them both the last four years. Even though tempers flared earlier on, cooler heads managed to somehow prevail; which wasn't common when it came to David. Everyone knew David's deal. he was a hothead. He had a temper. Once he was enraged, it usually took a lot just to calm him down. But given the fact that this was his sister after all, perhaps something inside David calmed him down. He still wasn't happy about the idea of sharing his place with her though. David didn't like sharing anything that was his. He was selfish. This wasn't news to anyone. This was why Keira's arrival was kept a secret from David because their family knew and even Butch knew if they asked David straight up would he let Keira move in with him he would have said no. But there's nothing he could do now and here they were, drinking together while catching up on a lot of lost time.
"A you know, picked up a few tricks from our dear ol' dad," Keira commented as she down a shot. "I don't drink nearly as much as you two though. I don't wanna punish my liver ya know?"
"Haha I see you're still a pansy in some light a?"
"Hey i want to live past 30 that's all." David chuckles as David took a shot before motioning to the bartender for another.
"So tell me, what changed your mind about lacing up the boots a," David asked out of curiosity. "Last time I saw you, you wanted no part of it. It was all about college right? What changed? Keira laughs for a moment as David looks on with a curious eye.
"I was waiting for you to ask me this," she starts. "I bet you've been wanting to ask me this since I got here a?" Well put it this way David, plans change. People change. And people's goals change. There were things i wanted to do and then eventually, I didn't want to do those things anymore. It's just the way it is."
"That's all? I feel like there's something you're not telling me?"
"I am because I don't want to. There's some things I rather keep to myself you know?" David looks at Keira for a moment and laughs as Keira orders another shot.
"Sounds touching."
"It is actually."
"And you don't want to tell your big brother about it?' Keira rolls her eyes.
"Yeah like you would care Davey. All you would do is claim I'm some bloody damsel in distress. Besides the only person you look out for is yourself. One thing I've noticed today is that you haven't changed. You were a prick then and you're a prick now." David downs a shot and then laughs.
"Have heard it all before sis. That shit doesn't phase me. I am what I am. I don't ask for any wanker to like it."
"I remember the times you use to. Don't you brother? Good-:''
"Don't you bother say it sis. I haven't heard that shit in years and I rather keep it that way," David orders for another shot as Keira smirks. She runs a hand through her black hair.
"Aww you want to bury your past self Davey? What was wrong with Good Boy Davey."
'Shut your bloody mouth! Back then, I was a wanker. I was naive. i didn't understand shit. I didn't understand how to live in the real world. If I was able to slap myself up the head sis I would do it in a second. But I understood eventually if you want to live in this world, you can't be nice to these pissants. They'll take you for granted. They'll try to use you for whatever the fuck they want to use you for. So yeah, I piss on Good Boy Davey. That shit is dead to me." David, once given his shot, took another shot. Keira looks on.
"I see. Won't bring it up again," keira said with a laugh. David gave her a glare. "I promise ok? Anyways since you asked, the main reason why i wanted to become a wrestler is simple."
"Oy?"
'I want to become better than you." David raises an eyebrow as Keira faces him. "I want to become better than you, better than dad, better than our grandpa. i want to become better than somebody for once. i've always been second place no matter what I've done. Every single time Davey. And eventually I realized that our family's a wrestling family and wrestling's were I belong. When I told you that my goals had changed, this is what I meant. I'm tired of being second. I want to become better and since this is what i was born to do I guess I want to become better than everyone in our family. Our dad is a legend back home. i want to become one too. Maybe then none of you will see me second fiddle." David looks at Keira. No doubt about this. This was a different Keira. Different from the one he knew. She sounded determined. More focused. The sweet girl he knew growing up had changed and had blossomed into a woman that wanted to succeed in life. A woman with an edge to her. In other words, she was almost the complete 180 of the girl David knew all of his life before now to be his sister.
"That sounds like a lofty goal but let me lend you in on a hint. Out of everyone in oir family, I'M the one that's going to become better than the ol' man. Nothing other than me. You can try though and you'll finish second like you always have."
"That's where you're wrong. Don't believe now but I'm training everyday. I'm learning every day and one day all of this is going to pay off from me when I'm the one that lives up to our father's legacy."
'Is that so?"
"I know so." David and Keira lock eyes for a moment before David smirks and laughs. It was at this moment that David started warming up to his sister's new attitude. it was different, but it was an attitude that he figured would be interesting to be around. Plus with her around trying to upstage him, it made David only want to become as great of a wrestler as his father was in order to stay ahead of Keira. David grabs his shot and puts it up in the air before tipping his head to Keira.
"Cheers then love. Game. On." _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The PWX cameras spot David Wilson inside his locker room with red and black face paint on his face and sporting a black leather jacket and blue jeans. David adjust the camera for a moment before he faces it.
David: So as it turns out, the bigger you are, the smaller your balls are. A Alexander Atwater? I get it mate. You're probably tripping over yourself over the fact that last week you managed to weasel your way to make to the limit and then goof the referee into giving you a DQ victory and look at you now. You got yourself a li' Next gen championship match? Now I'm not going to say you're some wretched villain because quite frankly you and me we come from the same book of villains mate. Some people are just born to be a villain. Some people are cut from the same cloth and that's where we come from.
Thing is you're a big oof. You got those muscles. You got that size and yet like a typical doofus you don't know how to bloody use it! A big off like yourself doesn't need to use tricks that I would use because shit you should be killing people mate. You should be ripping people to shreds like I do week in and week out. But you didn't and like the useless mental midget that you are mate you made yourself look like a lil' bitch. You made yourself look like a bloody coward that someone as big as you couldn't put down a much smaller guy like me down.
You aren't made of the real stuff.
You'll like all the wankers and oxygen thieves that make up the PWX fanbase. You're like every walking American in this company. This country gets gift-wrapped resources after resources. Some countries can't even bloody afford to eat anything. All of you take what you have and take it for granted and you Alexander Atwater are no different. I don't mind what you did, I just don't think someone with your frame should be the opposite of what a monster should be. But you got your lil' shot. Enjoy that mate. Hopefully for your sake you end up winning instead of falling over your face. You probably do that enough by yourself mate and whether or not you piss your pass and let that woman beat you, you don't have enough to best me. You don't have enough to put down David Wilson. But hey, who does?
David smirks.
David: And even with the referee be as fucking clueless as I expect every referee around here to be, here I am in a match, not for a championship, but a match motherless. That's ok. I can live with that. After all last week was only a sample of everyone seeing for themselves what the Ripper is all about. High Stakes 2014, I share a ring with three other people. And one of those three people is someone that until I'm fucking dead and gone six feet under will always take pleasure in putting down because it will never get old.
I'm talking about you sunshine.
Anton Chase we meet again and trust me, I don't like looking at that ugly mug of yours as much as the next pissant. But it's funny how every time we meet, you show up with less brain cells than you had the last time. Now of course you never was known to be a smart person in the first place if you even think that you can touch someone who was BORN in this business. Someone who's wrestling family BY BIRTH means they're superior. Everything else is gravy Anton. Upon birth I was better than you mate and whether or not you want to admit it, you will never be able to match up to me.
Especially not now.
Things are different Anton. As you see, I'm working with something new here. A concept created by my father, perfected by his son. That son being yours truly. Now listen you fucking pissant, you can talk all of your shit and you can ignore the fact that I took what you wanted twice, once in the ring ONE ON ONE. See I think you fucking forgot about that one time when you got lucky and took the Hybrid Championship from me how when i got that rematch i beat you FAIR AND SQUARE. I didn't even have to pull out my bag of tricks. I straight up put you in your place. And you choose to not stay in your place and you choose to continue being a mental midget well let me tell you something, no words that you speak will ever take away that moment, that match and the fact that I have, I am and I will always be better than you.
And while you wanna shrug out the newbies and act as if this is just between me and you when it isn't, I'm not. Because unlike you your fucking moron I get the point that this match is a fatal four way. And I'm like you, I don't know who the fuck Leo banks is or who Jayson Logan is. I've seen him around here. I've seen them in the ring. Not bad. I've seen a LOT worst in this country. So I give you two that boys. You're not bad. But you two are just like Anton and will be like Anton because all three of you will be losers after I win tomorrow night in our match.
Your family can throw as much money up your arse Leo, it ain't going to chum out a wrestler. It ain't going to chum someone like me. Someone who grew up to ring ropes and wooden canvas. This is my bloody life. This whole thing was built for people like me and only the fortunate ones who were born in this business understand that. The minute you, Jayson and Anton deiced to become a wrestler, you were playing came up to me. Even when I was in fucking diapers I was a better wrestler than all of you!
Because it's in me.
It's in my bones. it's in my blood and that's something you three posses. And it doesn't matter if these wankers get behind you three or not, there's nothing you can learn in enough time between right now and tomorrow that can match the knowledge that I have by simply being born in this business. The Ripper is all about legacy. MY legacy as I leave nothing but bodies ripped behind me as I prove to everyone in this company that my legacy will never be trife with. All three of you combined into one wrestler does not equal David bloodly Wilson. Because I was born in this business. Because I'm made of the real stuff and most importantly, I'm fucking British. You combine those three elements boys and none of you never had a chance at birth. It's going to be fun tomorrow night. I may not be in the Next Generation title match. Toughshit. But I get the chance to once again showcase what the Ripper possess. And I get to once again show Anton Chase why we're on two different levels. it's my favorite things to fucking do all rolled into one. Tomorrow night, the Ripper will sink his teeth into all three of you and when I'm done and when all of you are down and I'm victorious, you all will realize one important lesson. When you're born in this business, everyone plays catch up to you. And the three of you will always play catch up to David Wilson.
