PWX Adrenaline on VERSUS HD
“Season Premiere”
September 7th 2009
The Former ECW Arena
Philadelphia, PA
[The lights in the ECW Arena go out, and “Rush RMX” by Kid Russell hits the PA System. Shots of the new PWX logo and roster are shown on the screens in the building. The crowd erupts with a flurry of “PWX” chants as the lights come back on, and Jason Parker Olesen is in the ring, with a microphone in hand]
JPO: The Revolution..has been REBORN!
Crowd: PWX! PWX! PWX! PWX! PWX!
JPO: Welcome to a whole new era for Versus, and a whole new era for Pro-Wrestling X! Now, I’m not going to take a lot of your time tonight-because that’s not what we’re about. We’re about whats in this ring. We’re about action, competition, and excitement! I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you to each and every fan who made this possible. Thank you to everyone who believed in us from day one. We’ve been to the top of the mountain, and down to the depths of hell. Like a phoenix, we rose from the ashes-and tonight it’s time for our voice to be heard!
[The crowd cheers loudly]
JPO: This isn’t a talk show. This isn’t Sports Entertainment. This is PWX. This is Adrenaline-and this is VERSUS! Let’s show those guys on HDNet, and those guys on USA-that we are the premiere Monday Night ticket-that we are the ones who are bringing Professional Wrestling BACK to Monday Nights-right here in the ECW Arena!
[The crowd pops loudly as JPO drops the microphone. We cut to the opening video package, featuring Kidd Russell’s “Rush RMX”. The fans cheer loudly as the camera pans around the building, showing the riotous fanbase of Philadelphia, PA.]
Ricky Cravate: We’re back!
Chris Caudill: Welcome everybody to PWX Adrenaline! I am Chris Caudill, joined by the Voice of PWX, Ricky Cravate-and it’s time for the revolution to be REBORN!
Ricky: That’s right Chris. Tonight, in our HUGE Double Main Event-it will be two former PWX Champions colliding, as Michael Norcia and Brad Jackson collide in the center of the ring.
Chris: Don’t forget, it will be Gang Warfare, as The New Dawn takes on The Order of Chaos for the first time ever!
Ricky: Normally, we’d send it to Alexis for our first contest-but I’m being told that Shawn Lester is standing by with Brian Hollywood!
[An Executive Interview]
Just outside Brian Hollywood's locker room. Shawn Lester opens the door to find no one inside. Just then he shuts the door as he sees someone approaching. He clears his throat as he's been caught going somewhere he's not allowed.
Shawn Lester: Ladies and Gentleman, my guest at this time...Brian Hollywood!
Hollywood approaches from the right and comes right up to Shawn. He looks right at him coldly.
Hollywood: First of all, that's Mr. Hollywood to you! It looks like I'm going to have to make sure people understand that around here. Seeing as how you didn't know, I'll cut you some slack...THIS time. However....
Hollywood pauses and looks towards his locker room. He then looks back at Shawn.
Just what the hell were you doing in there Shawn? Haven't you ever heard of knocking? You don't know what your going to find behind those doors. I don't like the fact that you just walked right in. If the doors are shut Shawn, you knock. Didn't you learn that when you were little?
Shawn just looks at him. He then speaks quietly.
Shawn Lester: Well....Brian....er...I mean, Mr. Hollywood, I wasn't trying to cause....
Hollywood interrupts him.
Hollywood: Yeah, yeah, I know the routine Shawn. You weren't trying to cause trouble...like I haven't heard that before. However, that's not the point right now. The point right now is...
Hollywood looks into the camera.
Hollywood: YOU Riot!....If you haven't guessed, our match happens to be tonight! I STILL have yet to see you in this building. I haven't heard of your appearance at all by anyone. Funny, maybe you heeded my warning and decided to opt out of our match. Wise, but foolish. It just makes me look dominant, but it makes you look weak and pityful. What kind of person wants to take someone who doesn't show up to a match seriously? If they want to be a contender, they would show up and at least get their asses beaten down to accept recognition. You may not win, and not come close might I add, but at least you showed up and TRIED! Riot, when people get in the ring with me, they know they've already lost the match. They know that I've already obtained victory over them. Why? Because they know they can't beat me. One thing you will learn coming into this business is that you automatically become aware of just who the hell I am.
Hollywood pauses.
Hollywood: Riot, you WILL come to know who I am. If I had to take a guess, you kind of already have. Why do I say that you might ask? Because you've heard what I've had to say, and your already trying to find a way out of it. The thing is Riot, you haven't proved me anything until you get in that ring with me. I will take your ass all over that ring and show you what trying really means. Your trying only will result as an ass beating by me. Riot, I don't know if you know this or not...but you've found yourself in what I like to call an Executive Delema. What is an Executive Delema you might ask? I figured you would want to know.
Hollywood looks around with a smile on his face and then looks back towards the camera.
Hollywood: An Executive Delema is what I like to call I screw you, but you don't screw me type of scenario. You see, like I've said before Riot, you've just got TWO options available to you tonight. Option one is you don't show up tonight and just prove that you don't have what it takes to show up against me and lose. Just proves that your a coward. Which you are anyway. Option two lends itself as you showing up and losing to me either way. I beat your ass down, showing you my way of wrestling in that ring, then pin you. Either way Riot, both options are losing to me. YOUR choice Riot, is picking which option rather suits you best. Either way Riot, I have already won. My Executive promise still stands as I am a man of my promises. I WILL beat you no matter what it is I have to do. At least I can do it. So Riot, when you eventually show or not show up tonight, I will make it my duty, my assignment, to kick your ass so bad that you won't even come back to this business. I will just further prove that I am the best in this business and that people really do have the option of not facing me! So Riot, what's it gunna be? To lose and show up? Or to not show up and lose? THAT is the question!
Hollywood walks away and leaves Shawn speechless just standing there as the camera cuts away.
Shawn Lester: Well, there you have it. We’ll see if Mr. Hollywood can back up his talk in the ring-let’s send it down to Alexis Lace-who as always is standing by with our opening contest!
Match One:
Singles Match
BRIAN HOLLYWOOD vs RIOT
Brian Hollywood and Riot both come down to the ring. The crowd is hot for the first match of the show. Hollywood gets a riotous – no pun intended – “Welcome Back” chant by the PWX Loyal as the opening bell rings. The two shake hands-following the Code of Honor, before Hollywood takes Riot over with a side headlock. Both men kip up, and Hollywood takes him down with a Japanese Armdrag. He continues to pound and stretch out Riot for a few minutes, getting the crowd behind him. He shoots Riot into the ropes, and runs after him for a lariat-but Riot holds the top rope, and uses Brian’s own momentum to send him out to the floor.
Crowd: Let’s Start A Riot! *clap clap clapclapclap*
Riot runs off the far ropes, and dives over with a suicide dive, taking Brian Hollywood out-just as soon as he got to his feet. The fans are cheering loudly for the first high spot of the night. Riot rolls him into the ring, and slingshots back in with a tope atomico. He goes for a quick cover-but Brian manages to power out at 2. Riot lifts him up-and goes for a suplex, but Hollywood lands on his feet-and clubs him in the back of the head. He throws Riot over with a release german suplex, folding the masked man up like an accordion. Hollywood goes back on the attack for the next few minutes-before dropping him with a stiff neckbreaker. He plays to the crowd-and goes to the far corner, and begins stomping his foot on the mat. Riot gets to his feet-and Brian Hollywood kicks him in the face-as the crowd pops. He goes for the cover:
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!!!!!
The fans cheer and the bell rings. The ref holds up Brians hand, as he heads up to the ramp. The crowd restarts their “Welcome Back” chant
WINNER: Brian Hollywood via pinfall
Crowning A Champion
JPO walks out of his office, and looks at the camera.
JPO: Oh. Scared me. So I just got off the phone with Versus, and they think that we need a champion on this show. RAW has Randy Orton, Ring of Honor has A Double-so we need a champion. Can’t say I argue with their logic. So here’s the deal, at Never Say Die-we will crown the NEW PWX Champion! Starting next week, we’re going to hold an eight man elimination TOURNAMENT to crowd the new champion-and boy, do I have a surprise entrant for you guys!
[JPO smirks, as we fade to the ring]
Match Two:
Singles Match
SEAN TYLER vs CREED
Creed doesn't even wait for the bell to sound; he immediately charges at Tyler as Creed's shoulder meets the cold steel turnbuckle. Tyler rolls up Creed for a quick two count before arm dragging Creed once he gets back up. He does it a second time, then hits a belly to belly the third time Creed stands up. Tyler turns him around and locks in a armbar submission, but Creed squirms out and exits the ring, not liking where he's at in the match currently. Tyler exits the ring and clubs Creed in the back, then grabs him by the shirt and throws him into the steel steps as the crowd "oohs" at the shound that makes. Tyler then throws a limp Creed into the ring and covers, but still only manages a two count.
Tyler goes to pick up Creed, but a convient eye rake sends Tyler back a few step. When his vision clears, he sees Creed charging forward with a spear. But instead of executing the move, Tyler instead counters with a DDT! The crowd again is impressed with Tyler as he rises back to his feet and waits for Creed to do the same. When he does, he drops him with the Welcome to Philly as he covers, and he scores the pinfall.
WINNER: Sean Tyler via pinfall
Match Three:
Singles Match
NESS vs TYLER GRAVES
The match begins as Ness and Graves circle around, going for a collar and elbow tie up. Ness knees Graves in the stomach and pushes him against the ropes. He whips him across sends a knee lift right in Graves' face. Ness kneels down and lands a number of punches to the face of Graves before picking him up. Lifting him up high in the air, he delivers a stalling suplex and lands on top of Graves, going for a pinfall attempt, but Graves kicks out after two. Ness rises and stomps on the fallen Graves as he is in total control of the match. Picking up Graves again, he drills him with a butterfly suplex, then immediately locks in a sleeper hold on the unsuspecting Graves.
Ness latches on the move with great force, but Graves won't give up. He powers out, then strikes a few elbows to the back of the head. He hits the ropes, looking to catch an off guard Ness with a flying clothesline, but Ness ducks as Graves crashes back to the mat. He climbs back up using the ropes, but this time it's he who is caught off guard as Ness drops him with a STO. Dragging him to the middle of the ring, Ness locks in the Fade to Black. Graves tries desperately to find the nearest bottom rope, but it's too late- he passes out before he could, and the referee calls for the bell, awarding the victory to Ness.
WINNER: Ness via submission
Match Four:
The First vs The Last
“THE HAND OF GOD” MICHAEL NORCIA vs “THE DARK HORSE” JACKSON
Both men stand in their corners, as Alexis makes the introductions. The crowd is in a frenzy for this match. Jackson offers a handshake-but Norcia clocks him with a hook as the bell rings. The two begin to brawl all over the ring, exchanging blows. Jackson takes Norcia down with a double leg takedown, driving the back of his head to the mat below. He takes the mount, and begins to rain down punches. Norcia nails an elbow strike to the head-stunning Jackson. He delivers another hard strike, knocking the last PWX Champion to the mat. He smirks as he picks him up-and shoots him into the far ropes, delivering a Yakuza Kick, that knocks Jackson to the mat. He makes a quick cover, but Jackson powers out before the 2 count.
Norcia picks him up-and makes a cut throat motion-before shooting him into the corner. Jackson reverses it-and sends Norcia into the corner. He pulls the ref infront of him, as Jackson nails a splash in the corner-taking the ref out. He battles out-knocking Jackson down with a lariat. He lifts him up and sets him up for a brainbuster-but stops as he’s being distracted by someone in the crowd. The cameras pan over to Cal “The Buzz” Roberts, whose sitting in the front row. He hops the guard rail-and begins arguing with Norcia, Buzz slides into the ring-and continues to argue with Norcia-before hitting him with a Belly to Belly Suplex. He yells to the crowd-and then hits Norcia with a burning hammer neckdrop, that he calls “Buzzed”. He rolls out of the ring, as Jackson covers Michael Norcia. The ref comes too, and counts the three. Jackson rolls to the ring, and see’s Buzz smirking as the ref holds his arms up.
WINNER: Jackson via pinfall
Battle Lines
Once in the ring, “The Buzz” Cal Roberts paces the ring for a moment to take in the boos of the crowd. He had ruined the night they’d been waiting for a long time. He peels off his tight black t-shirt and throws it into the crowd, and then leans in on the ropes facing the hard camera.
The Buzz: I told you all the last time you saw me that I would be back!
His trademark smirk spread over his face.
The Buzz: You know who I am, but you don’t know why I am here.
Roberts moves to the center of the ring and points to Norcia, who is surrounded on the floor by PWX officials. Norcia is recovering and foaming at the mouth to get back in the ring, and get a piece of his long-time rival. The fans continue to boo Roberts for his actions.
The Buzz: We have a history big man. A history of you following me from promotion to promotion trying to leech off my spotlight and make my life a living hell. Tonight I made the first strike in our final battle. But my concern isn’t just with you, Norcia.
Cal Roberts reaches behind and pulls a long piece of black cloth that was hanging from the inside of his jeans. He reveals it to be a black t-shirt and turns it toward the hard camera. On the shirt in white letters are the words “CRITICAL.BATTLE.ART”. Roberts drops the microphone for a moment and puts the shirt on. He pays special attention at saying each word on the shirt for the hard camera before picking the microphone back up.
The Buzz: Tonight was a dream come true for you all, the return of PWX. You think you know what’s coming, but you really have no idea what’s coming!
Roberts drops the microphone and steps through the ropes before exiting through the crowd.
Making a claim
Ricky: Why is Cal Roberts here?
Chris: I honestly have no idea.
Ricky: It’s Main Event time though!
[“The Haunted” hits the PA as the fans explode as The New Dawn head out to the ring. Pariah is wearing the NCW Pure Championship belt with a sadistic smirk on his face. Their music dies down as Pariah is handed a microphone.]
Pariah: Last week, I led our revolution out to California, and took on The Legion’s own Danny Szatkowski, and won this right here-the NCW Pure Championship.
[Pariah holds the belt over his head, as Silkk and Lillith applaude him.]
Pariah: I told the sheets that I would make a statement tonight. And that’s-Danny, if you want this championship back, I’m not going to come to you. I want you to come to me. I want you to come here to the Arena, I want you to come here to PWX, and I want you to come here to Adrenaline! We are the only Monday Night Wrestling program on TV, and Danny-I want to show you what a Professional Wrestling organization looks like!
[Pariah smirks, as the crowd begins a loud PWX chant]
Pariah: Now tonight, coming after my huge win at NCW’s Summerbash-I’m going to add The Order of Chaos to the New Dawn’s hit list-TONIGHT!
[The crowd cheers loudly as The OOCs music hits. It’s main event time!]
Match Five:
MAIN EVENT
Gang Warfare
THE NEW DAWN vs THE ORDER OF CHAOS
The fans are estatic as Ebdon, Jaxx and Christy slide into the ring. The bell rings-as Lillith goes right on the attack on Christy. She shoots Christy into the ropes-and drops her with a lariat. She yells at her “Get up Diva!” as Christy gets to her feet, only to get knocked down again with another lariat. She begins to put the boots to Christy. She picks her up-and delivers a pair of European uppercuts to Christy. Each blow gets the usual “HEEEYY!” from the crowd. She drops Christy with a DDT, and floats over into the cover-but Christy kicks out at two. She rolls Christy to the floor-and slingshots herself over the top rope, crashing into Christy, and sending her into the guardrail. The crowd pops as Nicholas Jaxx gets in the ring, as does James Silkk.
Jaxx hits Silkk with a Japanese armdrag. Silkk gets up-and backs into the corner-as Jaxx hits him with a dropkick. Jaxx continues the attack-shooting him into a nutreal corner. Jaxx delivers a Stinger Splash-and then follows up with a bulldog. He rolls Silkk over into the pin-but only gets a two count. He sighs and throws him over the top rope. Silkk catches the ropes-and lands on the apron as Pariah comes into the ring-and nails Jaxx with a clubbing blow from behind. He hits Jaxx with a backstabber-and holds his arms back-forcing him up into a bow & arrow style submission. Silkk hits a tope atomico onto Jaxx’s ribs, smashing him between his back, and Pariah’s knees. Pariah lets go and rolls to the floor with a sadistic smirk on his face, as Silkk goes for a cover and gets a 2 count. He lifts him up-and drops him quickly with a double arm DDT. He rolls to his corner, and tags in Pariah. Lillith hands him a chair, and he sets up as as Silkk gets to his feet, and lifts up Jaxx-sending him towards Pariah, who hits a drop toe hold, smashing him face first into the chair. Pariah lifts him up, and drops him with an STO-before locking in an Anaconda Vice, but Ebdon comes in and breaks up the pin. The ref forces Ebdon back to the corner as the crowd cheers. Pariah lifts him up, and hits him with another STO. He tags in Silkk, who climbs into the top rope-and dives off and drives his shoulder into Jaxx’s ribs with a swanton splash. He gets a 2 count, and picks Jaxx up. Jaxx battles back-and delivers a hard enziguri kick to Silkk, knocking him out. He makes a quick hot tag to Ebdon who smashes Silkk’s face into his knee. He runs at Pariah, and knocks him off the apron, sending him crashing into the railing. He lifts up Silkk, and drops him with the Ego Driver as the crowd boo’s. He covers Silkk for the 3 count, as the fans boo even louder.
Ricky: The Order of Chaos picks up the win in our first main event.
Chris: I’m not gonna lie, we need to see James Silkk and Nicholas Jaxx in a singles encounter.
The Order of Chaos stand tall, as Lillith looks on at Christy with disgust. Christy makes a motion for a title belt around her waist, Lillith is heard yelling-that she’s gonna get her as the show fades to black.
WINNERS: The Order of Chaos via pinfall.
